배경 음악에 따른 유아 그림표현 분석 = The analysis of children's drawings with different background musics

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 서울에 소재한 유치원 1개원과, 어린이집 1개원으로부터 선정된 4세, 6세아 각 20명씩 총 40명의 유아를 대상으로 배경음악에 따른 유아들의 그림표현을 분석하였다. 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 유아의 그림표현은 배경음악에 따라 표상수준의 차이가 있는가
2. 유아의 그림표현은 배경음악에 따라 탐색수준의 차이가 있는가
3. 유아의 그림표현은 배경음악에 따라 예술성 수준의 차이가 있는가
4. 유아 그림표현의 전체수준은 배경음악에 따라 차이가 있는가
5. 유아 그림표현의 전체수준은 배경음악에 따라 성, 연령의 차이가 있는가
6. 유아의 그림표현은 배경음악에 따라 색깔사용의 차이가 있는가
유아의 그림을 분석하기 위하여는 Project Spectrum(Krechevsky, 1994)에서 시각미술영역을 평가하기 위하여 사용한 척도를 이용하였으며, 유아들의 그림은 각 유아당 인물화 3장씩이 분석되어졌다. 유아들의 그림수집을 위해 첫째주에는 배경음악 없이 인물화를 그리도록 하였으며, 2, 3째 주는 2가지 음악을 각각 들려주고 인물화를 그리도록 하였다. 음악의 순서에 따른 영향을 배제하기 위해 유치원(동요, 대중음악 순)과 어린이집(대중음악, 동요 순)에서 각각 순서를 달리하여 30분씩 음악을 들려주었다. 배경음악에 따른 유아의 그림표현수준 차이를 알아보기 위해 이원변량분석을 실시하였고, 전체그림표현의 수준은 연령, 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위해서 F검증과 t 검증을 실시하였다. 또한 배경음악에 따른 유아 그림표현에 있어 색깔사용정도를 알아보기 위해 백분율로 산출하였으며, 색깔 사용의 정도 차이를 알아보기 위해 공변량분석과 사후검증으로 Scheffe의 검증을 하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 유아 그림의 표상수준은 동요를 들려주었을때 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 대중음악을 들려주었을 때 가장 낮았다. 표상수준의 하위요인별 분석에서는 기본형식은 동요, 대중음악, 음악 無의 순으로, 색깔(I)에서는 동요, 음악 無, 대중음악순으로, 그리고 공간통합면에서는 음악 無, 동요, 대중음악 순으로 점수를 나타내었다.
둘째, 탐색수준은 대중음악을 들려주었을 때 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 음악이 없었을 때가 가장 낮았다. 탐색수준의 하위요인별 분석에서는 색깔 (II), 다양성, 역동성 모두에서 대중음악, 동요, 음악 無의 순으로 점수를 나타내었다.
셋째, 예술성수준은 대중음악을 들려주었을때 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 동요, 음악을 들려주지 않았을 때 가장 낮았다. 예술성수준의 하위요인 별 분석에서는 표현성에서는 음악 無, 동요, 대중음악순으로, 보완사항에서는 대중음악, 동요, 음악 無 순으로 나타났고, 심미감에서는 동요, 대중음악, 음악 無 순으로 나타내었다.
넷째, 배경음악에 따른 유아그림표현의 전체수준은 대중음악을 들려주었을 때 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 음악을 들려주지 않았을때가 가장 낮은 점수를 나타내었다.
다섯째, 배경음악에 따른 유아그림표현의 전체수준은 성, 연령별 차이가 있었는데, 즉 여아가 남아보다, 6세아가 4세아보다 그림표현수준이 더 높았다.
여섯째, 배경음악에 따라 빨강, 검정, 연두, 회색, 분홍의 사용빈도는 유의한 차이를 보였다. Scheffe 검증 결과 빨강, 검정, 회색, 분홍색은 음악 無와 동요보다는 대중음악을 들려주었을 때 더욱 많이 사용하였고, 연두색은 대중음악과 음악 無보다는 동요를 들려주었을 때 더욱 많이 사용한 것으로 나타났다. 그림에 사용된 색깔의 빈도를 음악에 따라 분석한 결과, 음악을 들려주지 않았을때는 살색, 검정, 빨강, 노랑, 연두의 순으로 많이 사용하였고, 동요를 들려주었을때는 연두, 살색, 검정, 빨강, 귤색의 순으로 나타났고, 대중음악을 들려주었을때는 검정, 빨강, 남색, 분홍, 살색의 순으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis is designed to analyze the children's drawings with the various types of the background music and for this study 40 children in total(20 age four and 20 age six) are selected from one of preschool kindergarten and one of day care center in Seoul. The projects for the study are described as below.
1. Do the various types of background music make the level of representation of children's drawings different?
2. Do the various types of background music make the level of exploration for children's drawings different?
3. Do the various types of background music make the levels of artistry of children's drawings different ?
4. Do the various types of background music make the overall level of children's drawings different ?
5. Do the various types of background music make the overall level of children's drawings different in relation to different age and sex of the children?
6. Do the various types of background music make the colors of children's drawings different?
The criteria for the evaluation of visual art domain as specified in Project Spectrum (Krecevsky, 1994) are utilized for the analysis of children's drawing and 3 pieces of drawings per one child are placed under analysis.
First week the children were free to draw a person without any background music, and second and third week, the children were asked to draw a person with two different types of background music listened.
To avoid the troubles to be caused by the listening order, the children song and rock music were given to the children for 30 minutes in the reverse order in the kindergarten and day care center. The data were analysed by two-way ANOVA, analysis of covariance and Scheffe test.
The result of this study were as follows:
1. The analysis of the levels of children's representations for the drawings reveals that the levels are proved to be highest when children song is given as a background music and lowest when a rock music is given. With respect to the other lower elements for the levels of representation, the basic forms are found higer in the order of children song, rock music and without-music. The levels are proved to be higher for the colors(I) in the order of children song, without-music, and rock music, and for spatial integration in the order of without-music, children song and rock music
2. The analysis of the degrees of exploration reveals that the degrees are found higher in the order of rock music, children song and without-music and the analysis of lower elements shows that the levels of colors( II ), variataions and dynamics are higher in the order of rock music, children song and without-music.
3. The analysis of the levels of the artistry reveals that the levels are higher in the order of rock music, children song and without-music. Referring to the other lower elements, the levels of expressivity are found higher in the order of without-music, children song, and rock music, repleteness in the order of rock music, children song and without-music and aesthetic in the order of children song, rock music and without-music.
4. The overall level of children's drawings with the various background music is found highest with the rock music and lowest without music.
5. The various types of background music have been proved to lead to the variable levels of representation of children's drawings with the different levels for sex and age of the children. The levels of female are found higher than the levels of male and the levels of 6 year children are found higher than those of 4 year children.
6. The frequency of use of red, black, light green, gray and pink was remarkably different according to the types of background music. The analysis y Scheffe method concludes as follows.
1) Red, black, light green, gray and pink are used much more frequently in case of rock music in comparison to without-music and children song.
2) Light green is used more frequently in case of children song.
The analysis frequency of used colors based on the existence of background music and without-music reveals as follows:
1) In case of without-music, skin color, black, red, and yellow color.
2) In case of children song, light green, skin color, black, red and orange color.
3) In case of rock music, black, red, dark blue, and pink color are used more frequently in their order.
