특수교육대학원 유아특수교육 전공 유아교사의 일반유아 문제행동 지도 과정에 관한 질적 연구 = A Qualitative Study on the Process of Managing Problem Behaviors of General Young Children by Early Childhood Teachers Majoring in Early Childhood Special Education at the Graduate School of Special Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 특수교육대학원 유아특수교육 전공 유아교사의 문제행동 지도 과정에 대한 인식과 경험의 변화를 탐색하기 위한 질적 연구이다. 이를 위해 유아교사 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 심층 면담을 실시하였으며, 반복적 비교분석을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 또한 연구의 신뢰도와 타당성을 확보하기 위해 연구 참여자 확인법을 활용하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 유아교사는 유아특수교육을 전공하며 문제행동을 바라보는 시각이 변화되어 문제행동에 대한 새로운 시각을 갖게 되었고, 문제행동에 대한 접근 방식을 새롭게 모색하였다. 둘째, 유아교사는 유아특수교육을 전공하며 문제행동의 이해와 해결을 위한 다양한 시도가 나타났고 문제행동을 이해하고자 노력하며 예방적 중재 전략으로 환경 조정을 시도하였다. 셋째, 유아교사는 문제행동 유아의 개별적 요구를 파악하여 행동변화를 기대하였고, 가정 상황의 이해가 확대되었다. 또한, 특수교사를 포함한 동료교사나 전문가와의 협력을 통해 긍정적인 중재 경험을 하였다. 넷째, 유아교사는 반성적 사고를 통해 문제행동에 대한 인식을 전환하고 자기 성찰을 통해 성장하였다. 다섯째, 유아교사는 유아특수교육을 전공하며 문제행동 중재에서도 유아교육과 유아특수교육의 통합적 접근과 협력적 지원의 필요성을 인식하였다. 본 연구는 유아교사가 유아특수교육의 지식을 바탕으로 문제행동에 대한 인식이 전환되고 구체적인 방법을 습득한 경험을 밝혀 유아교육 현장에서 일반유아의 문제행동 지도에 실질적으로 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a qualitative research aimed at exploring the perceptions and experiences of early childhood teachers majoring in early childhood special education regarding the process of managing problem behaviors. To achieve this, in-depth interviews were conducted with five early childhood teachers, and the collected data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. Additionally, member checking was utilized to ensure the reliability and validity of the study. The findings of the study are as follows. First, early childhood teachers experienced a shift in their perspectives on problem behaviors as they pursued their major in early childhood special education, leading them to adopt a new viewpoint and seek alternative approaches to addressing problem behaviors. Second, as they studied early childhood special education, participants engaged in various attempts to understand and resolve problem behaviors, striving to comprehend them better and implementing proactive intervention strategies, such as environmental adjustments. Third, participants identified the individual needs of children exhibiting problem behaviors and sought behavioral changes while also broadening their understanding of family circumstances. Furthermore, they had positive experiences in intervention through collaboration with fellow participants and specialists, including special education participants. Fourth, through reflective thinking, participants transformed their perceptions of problem behaviors and experienced professional growth through self-reflection. Fifth, participants recognized the necessity of an integrated approach and collaborative support between general early childhood education and early childhood special education in managing problem behaviors. This study is significant in that it provides foundational data that can be practically applied in early childhood education settings by revealing how early childhood teachers, based on their knowledge of early childhood special education, undergo a shift in their perception of problem behaviors and acquire concrete strategies for managing them.
