중학교 국어 교과서 어휘 단원 구성 연구

국어 교육 내에서 문법 영역은 항상 어렵기만 한 것으로 인식되어 왔다. 그러한 인식은 문법 영역에 관한 기피 현상으로 나타났다. 그러던 와중에 대학수학능력시험에서 문법 영역의 문항 수가 늘어나며 문법 교육에 대한 관심이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구는 이러한 추세에 발맞추어 현재 교육과정에서 나타나는 문법 영역의 교육과정에 관하여 분석하고 문법 영역에서 가장 기본이 되는 어휘와 관련된 교과서를 연구했다. 본고는 현재 사용하고 있는 교과서를 통해 어휘 단원, 더 나아가 문법 영역에서 학생들에 흥미를 유발하고 문법은 어렵다는 선입견을 없애고자 한다. 또한, 새로 발표된 2015 개정 국어과 교육과정을 바탕으로 교과서를 집필하는 데 도움이 되고자 하는 목적이 있다.
가장 먼저 교육과정에 대하여 분석하였다. 가장 먼저 현재의 2012 교육과정과 올해 발표된 2015 교육과정의 배경과 개정 사항에 대하여 살펴보았다. 2012는 국가･사회적 요구 측면과 국어 교육 내의 요구 측면을 배경으로 삼고 있고 2015의 경우 문･이과 통합형 교육과정을 지향하는 것을 기본으로 했다. 개정 사항은 2012의 경우 2011에서 설정되었던 ‘학년군’을 계속 이어서 하고 학생들의 인성에 관련된 내용이 추가되었음을 확인했다. 2015의 경우 가장 큰 개정 사항으로 성취 기준과 학습량이 줄어들었다는 점과 ‘내용 체계표’를 변경했다는 것을 꼽을 수 있다. 내용 성취 기준을 보았을 때 ‘유형’이나 ‘의미관계’가 쓰였던 2012에 비해 2015에서는 ‘체계’와 ‘양상’이라는 단어로 교체되었다.
교과서 분석은 14종의 중학교 국어 교과서 중 10종의 교과서로 실시하였다. 교과서 분석을 통해 몇몇의 교과서들의 내용이 충실하지 못했다는 점, 학생들이 흥미를 끌만한 내용이 없다는 점, 학습 내용이 지나치게 축소되었다는 점, 학습 활동이 실질적으로 현장에서 쓰이기 힘들다는 점 등을 문제점으로 파악했다.
마지막으로 교과서 분석을 통해 파악한 문제점들을 수정, 보완하기 위해 어휘 단원 구성 유형을 제시했다. 대단원으로 구성하고 학생들이 자기 주도 학습을 할 수 있도록 각 교과서에서 나왔던 좋은 구성 요소들을 제시했다. 또한, TV 프로그램을 활용하여 학생들의 흥미를 유발 시킬 수 있는 도입 활동이나 학습 활동을 제시했다.

Abstract

A Study on Vocabulary Chapters of Korean Language Text Book for Middle School

Grammar area has been difficult in Korean language education. It affects situation to avoid grammar area. But now, considering on grammar education is increasing as preparation for increasing a number of questions on test for admitting University.
For this reason, this study analyzes curriculums of grammar area based on current Korean language curriculums and researches into text book connected with vocabulary as basic for grammar education. By researching current text book, it arouses student's interest in vocabulary chapter and grammar area, also gets rid of stereotype about difficulty of learning Korean language grammar. Additionally it could help writing new text book based on Korean language curriculums newly revised in 2015.
First of all, this study analyzes curriculums through comparing curriculums background, essential particulars on current curriculum in 2012 and revised curriculum in 2015. Curriculum in 2012 has background of aspects which are reflected governmental and social also Korean language educational requirement. Curriculum in 2015 aims balance between humanities course and natural sciences. In case of curriculum in 2012, a concept of grouping grades is continued since it has set in 2011. It is also added contents about humanistic education. In case of curriculum in 2015, definite revised particulars are decrease of accomplishment's standard and amount of learning. And the organization of learning methods is changed. As the standard of accomplishing learning methods, curriculum in 2012 chose 'pattern', 'connection of meaning', on the other hand curriculum in 2015 chose 'system', 'complexion'.
10 kinds of text book is chosen as analyzing text book; totally it has 14 kinds of text book. As analyzing text books, these are discovered as problems that some kinds of text book contents are lacked, do not have interesting contents for students, are excessively reduced and learning activity is hard to be used in fields.
Last, this study suggests structural pattern of vocabulary chapter to correct and improve problems which are found in analyzing tex book, it also suggests organizing chapters and choosing good components in each kinds of text book for student in order to autodidacticism. Additionally this study proposes introducing activities and learning activities which could arouse student's interest with TV program.
