증산 강일순의 사상에 있어서 해원(解冤) 개념 = The Concept on Grievance-resolution in the Thought of Jeungsan, Kang Il-sun

국문 초록 (Abstract)

해원은 화해와 상생과 통합을 지향한다. 따라서 해원사상은 이상사회를 구현하고 추구하는 인간의 욕구를 충족시켜줄 규범이자 원리이며 이념이다. 이러한 해원사상을 종교적 교리로 승화시키고 체계화시킨 인물이 증산 강일순이다. 증산은 한국 고유의 정서를 대변하는 원한에 주목하고, 세계 파괴의 근거와 원인으로 파악하였다. 나아가 증산은 원한을 푸는 일인 해원이라는 개념에 대한 심층적 고찰을 통해 해원을 종교적으로 재해석하여 하나의 교리체계로 완성시킨 인물이다.
증산은 우주적 차원의 해원공사를 집행하여 종교적 구원을 시도한 인물이다. 증산은 해원사상을 통해 삼계(三界)에 가득 찬 원한들을 모조리 풀어 없애 이상사회를 지상에 세워 인류 구원을 완성시킬 것이라고 강조하였다. 그는 원한의 구조적이고 본질적인 특성에 주목하여 세계 파멸의 근본적인 원인으로 파악하였고, 해원을 통해서만이 세계 구원이 이루어질 수 있다고 강조하였다.
해원은 증산이 주장한 사상의 요체이자 핵심원리다. 그리고 해원사상은 후천선경을 건설하기 위한 구체적 방법론이기도하다. 증산은 해원사상이라는 한국 고유의 정서를 체계화하여 자신의 종교적 행위인 천지공사의 원리로 제시함으로써 인류 구원의 방법론을 나름대로 제시하였다.
증산은 자신이 살던 당대를 해원이 되어가는 시대라고 정의하였고, 인류 역사의 처음부터 원한이 있었다고 주장하였다. 그리고 증산은 천상계, 인간계, 지하계 모두에 원한이 있다고 말했으며, 해원이 되기 위해서는 남 살리기와 은혜 갚기가 필요하며 인간의 온갖 욕망이 충족되어가는 과정이 필요할 것이라고 강조했다. 그리고 증산은 지금 현재가 해원이 진행되어가는 과정에 있다고 주장하고, 해원이 현실적으로 진행되고 있다는 점을 강조하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Grievance-resolution pursues reconciliation, mutual beneficence, and consolidation. Accordingly, the concept of grievance-resolution is a norm, a principle, as well as an ideology that aims to realize an ideal society and satisfy human desires. Such ideological thought transcended into religious doctrine and was systemized by Jeungsan, Kang Il-sun. He focused on grudges that represented the intrinsic sentiment of Korea and apprehended that grudges are the grounds and reason for the devastation of the world. Furthermore, Jeungsan was a figure who reinterpreted the concept of grievance-resolution via a religious perspective through an in-depth study which transformed into a doctrinal system.
He practiced the Reordering Works of grievance-resolution on a universal dimension to religiously redeem all things. Jeungsan completely resolved all the grudges and grievances that filled up the Three Realms (Heaven, Earth, and Humanity) through the concept of grievance-resolution and emphasized that he would establish an ideal society on earth to complete the redemption of human beings. Jeungsan apprehended that the essential characteristics of grudges and grievances were the fundamental reason for the destruction of the world. In this regard, he insisted that the redemption of the world should be achieved through the grievance-resolution.
Grievance-resolution is an essential aspect and principle of Jeungsan’s system of thought. In addition, it is a concrete approach to establish the earthly paradise of the Later World. Jeungsan implemented a method to redeem humankind by systemizing the intrinsic sentiments common in Korea─ namely, the concept of grievance-resolution─ and he suggested it as a religious practice which was the principle behind the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth.
Jeungsan defined that his own era was a time of grievance- resolution. In addition, he insisted that grievances and grudges had existed from the beginning of humankind. Jeungsan also said that there were grievances and grudges in heavenly planes, human planes, and underworldly planes. It was thereby necessary to do beneficial deeds for others and reciprocate beneficence in order to resolve grievances. He emphasized that a process wherein all human desires could be satisfied was essential. Furthermore, Jeungsan stressed that this present time should focus on the process of grievance-resolution on a practical level.
