한문과 교실수업 연구의 동향과 과제 = The Recent Research Trend and Tasks of the Classroom Lecture for the Chinese Classics

Through this article, the present researcher mentioned the recent trend and characteristics of the classroom lecture for the Chinese classics and presented the case studies focusing on the doctoral dissertations related to the education of the Chinese classics published recently. In addition, the three following suggestions were presented for the future researches in the classroom lecture for the Chinese classics. Firstly, it is needed to research the classroom lecture of other disciplinary courses. In particular, it is required to actively accept the qualitative study methods used in other disciplines. Secondly, it is needed to study the classroom lecture which identifies the `course phenomenon of the Chinese classics`. The research on the classroom lecture of the Chinese classics should be able to reveal the meaning of the situational uniqueness of the Chinese classics classroom lecture by observing it. Thirdly, the cooperative system between the Chinese classic teachers and the researchers should be established in order for the research on the classroom lecture to be effective and valuable in relation to practice. When the Chinese classic teachers are able to participate in the research processes such as study topic, study design, and data collection on equality with the researchers, the research on the classroom lecture of the Chinese classics can make any meaningful progress. Even though it has been told from the past that the research and the actual field in the education of the Chinese classics are separated, the efforts to overcome such separation has not been properly reflected into the research reality. In addition, it is regretful to think that while the mass media has been raising the issue of `classroom breakdown`, how much effort we have been making to actually look into the classroom lecture of the Chinese classics. Now, the awareness of the importance of the classroom lecture of the Chinese classics has increased much more than the past and there are many emerging degree holders in the Chinese classics education compared to the past. It is expected that `field study without field` will disappear in the educational research on the Chinese classics with the efforts of many teachers who are performing their education and research in the educational frontline field.
