중국 디지털 게임 <검은 신화: 오공>에 나타난 전통문화 요소 은유의 발전과 응용 연구 = Research on the development and application of narrative metaphor in the Chinese digital game “Black Myth: Wukong”

The purpose of this paper is to explore how the Chinese digital game “Black Myth: Wukong” systematically explains how to construct a complete “explicit-hidden” dual-track parallel narrative system within the game plot, so as to complete the internal logical transformation of traditional cultural elements from the superficial “explicit presentation” to the deep “invisible narrative”. Firstly, this study sorts out the crossmedia evolution history of “WuKong”, a super IP from Dunhuang murals in the Northern Song Dynasty to contemporary digital games, and confirms its foundation as a cultural matrix. Secondly, this study focuses on the research method of combining text classics, construct extraction (ZMET) and data statistics, and systematically analyzes the development and change process of metaphor application through multiple levels such as industrial narrative application paradigm, archaeological immersion creation, interactive limited perspective and player participation situation, so as to provide empirical data support for exploring the key factors that should be considered in narrative design that affect the depth of metaphor.
This research points out that successful narrative interactive applications do not originate from the simple accumulation of traditional symbols, but rely on the immersive and in-depth combination of the public’s cognitive and emotional needs to build a “metaphor system” that can be adapted and applied by global audiences. As a phenomenal digital product in the global cultural, industry market, its depth of cultural connotation and exquisiteness of, narrative presentation not only fulfill the high demands put forward by, the design market, but also activate contextual traditional culture. By, realizing the strategic sublimation from “cultural carrier” to “cultural, ontology”, digital games satisfy the player’s strong pursuit of spiritual, demands and cognitive autonomy. Therefore, they face the challenge, of integrating tradition and modernity, and carry out the setting and, replacement of continuous paradigm changes, providing key practical, inspiration for the inheritance and development of traditional cultural, elements. The core of the modernization and inheritance of traditional, culture lies in the creative translation and philosophical reconstruction, of cultural genes with contemporary global aesthetics and interactive, language, so that traditional IP symbols can be transformed from, viewed “cultural specimens” to participatory and contemplative, “cultural life forms”.
