청소년 대상 인문 프로그램 개발 연구: 시민성 함양을 중심으로 = A Study on the Development of a Humanities Program for Youth: Focusing on Citizenship Development

The purpose of this study is to develop a humanities program for fostering youth citizenship. To this end, it examines theoretical foundations alongside case analyses of previously implemented youth humanities programs, and develops a systematic set of goals and domain-specific objectives that reflect adolescents’ developmental characteristics and experiential worlds, while also validating their appropriateness. In particular, the study explores the aims and values of the humanities from the perspective of citizenship in relation to community competence, and derives corresponding educational principles. Relevant analyses were conducted on the 2022 revised national curriculum and existing program cases. To ensure the validity of the program’s content and objectives, a two-round Delphi survey was conducted with 20 experts. Based on this process, an initial structured program model was developed and evaluated in the first Delphi round. Items with low content validity ratios were revised and refined, followed by a second Delphi survey to secure overall validity. Subsequently, a revised and structured program model was established, and detailed aspects of its direction, objectives, and operational framework were proposed. The humanities program developed through this study is significant in that it systematically and practically promotes youth citizenship by fostering self-reflection, as well as enhancing understanding of others, empathy, and community-oriented competencies. It contributes to enabling adolescents to reflect on the essence of humanity during their developmental process and to grow into responsible members of society. Furthermore, the findings of this study are expected to serve as foundational resources for improving the quality and standardization of youth humanities programs aimed at fostering citizenship.
