The process of delivering a broader acceptance, along with a conceptual understanding of “church music”, to students entering church music in every semester class, was always followed by responsibility and research.
If many church music related books in the past focused on exploring and discussing the origins and origins of the history of church music from Hebrew music, Greek music, or the Middle Ages in which the church was founded and developed, I attempted to reinterpret church music from the viewpoint of “Praise and Worship” as well as a practical approach to establish a broader and clearer identity called “Christian Music”.
Praise is the response of God to the Creator`s character and redemption. I hope that through this approach and research, I would like to have a better understanding of the conceptual understanding and identity of church music. Furthermore, the understanding and application of it in the field of many ministries because of the enlightenment from the biblical and pastoral perspective.
In this paper, we examine the records of praise in the Bible that are so clearly and mysteriously described, and through it we have dealt with the concept, role and function of praise in the biblical origins of worship music. In particular, the Book of Psalms mentions the manner in which praise is called, and the musical structure. Through this, I presented the biblical basis of the content, structure, and expression of praise.
Next, we looked at the records of the New Testament praise related to the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, and sought to reconsider the meaning and value of worship praise. Finally, the term “Christian music” is used instead of “church music”, which does not include the whole history of God`s salvation awaiting the Second Coming after the resurrection of Christ from the biblical times, when the church was not established and the legitimacy of use.
The purpose of today`s worship is to present the standards of righteous praise to many pastors, worship leaders, or praise-takers, and help them perform the biblical content, role and function of the praise through the right selection. It made sense. In this essay we looked at the biblical origins of praise, presented the great proposition of Christian music beyond the small fence of church music, and mentioned that the biblical origins of church music must be reinterpreted throughout the history of Christianity before the church was established.
And I hope that worshipers with these broad perspectives will continue to study the depth of praise, and that the local church will be a place of worship and thanksgiving, which is filled with praise in the presence of God. Also, the biblical origins of praise we can organize the biblical concept and restore the content and function of the right praise so that our worship has a richer experience of God`s presence.
