생명을 살리는 설교 -구원의 과정에 적용되는 구속사 설교- = Life-Saving Preaching -Redemptive Historical Preaching Applied to the Way of Salvation-

One of the goals of Society for Reform~ Life Practical Theology is to prepare various reformed pastoral strategy, and to apply the reformed pastoral strategy to the pastoral environments of the Korean Churches. With this goal in mind, this paper introduces lifesaving preaching which seeks to apply the redemptive historical interpretation of the Bible to the way of salvation. One strength of redemptive historical preaching is to interpret the Scriptures in terms of the- salvational history and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in such a way that this homiletical method can acquire the divine willingness toward the human salvation from the whole scriptures. But one demerit of the redemptive historical preaching is ignore the relevant dimension of the Word in which main idea of the biblical text can be applied to the present congregation and the ecclesial situation. In order to overcome the weak point of the traditional redemptive historicalPreaching, this paper suggests life-saving preaching which seek to apply the main idea of the biblical text into the communal and ecclesial context of the present church. life-saving preaching not only proclaim the intellectual dimension of the Word of God but also encourage to apply this intellectual and propositional statement into the interpersonal relationship of the whole congregation, and to seek how to embody the glory of God within the spiritual and sanctification process of tl;1e whole church in the world. This paper also suggests that life-saving preaching need to consider the whole congregation of the church in terms of the organic system in which the whole parts have the dose life-sharing relationship_0ne another. In oder to promote the lifesaving ministry of the church, life-saving preaching also need to combine evangelism preaching, sanctification preaching, and doctrinal preaching with the whole pastoral philosophy of the local churches.
