다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

All race of the world have a characteristic of history and tradition. The tradition have been handed down forms of politicsㆍeconomyㆍsocietyㆍculture. Because the culture is a mental product, it is means that we understand an identity of races.
Because music express a figure of living itself, Former's consciousness and difficulty of life is expressed in words of former song. A study about it is necessary course in order to understand our traditional culture. Because Korea was included a Chinese character culture area and affected Confucianism, the thought of loyalty and filial piety have exerted a far-reaching influence in our society.
Words of farmer songs are mostly lyric poems. This express former's consciousness and difficulty of life. Farmer songs express the thought of Confucianism, example fealty, filial piety ect.
They sing a loyalty for a nation and kings. King exists in the middle of heaven and earth, commands spirit, material and a human being. So king keeps sameness with nation, society, family and a person.
Loyalty for king originate from voluntary mind that put nation, society, family and a person in the same category. If loyalty reveal for nation, it become the justice and the public good. Therefore it is loyalty that the people devote themselves to a ruler.
Filial piety is expressed to Yong-cheon-zi-do(用天之道), bun-zi-zi-rl(分地之理), gun-sin-jeol-yong(謹身節用). Farmers sing following contents ; After gathering in a harvest, farmers perform a memorial service for the repose of their ancestors. support their king and parents, lastly feed their wives and children.
The cosmic dual forces(陰陽) is concept about the phenomena of all changes in the world. The cosmic dual forces(陰陽) make character of four season ; In spring, all creation bud in brightness, In summer, all things grow in full brightness. In fall, there is the harvesting season in gloominess, In winter, they store all harvests in full gloominess.
The Five Elements(五行: metal, wood, water, fire, earth) retain the attribute of earth. It organically relate to earth, direction, season and show up a politic sense. Ruler must do government to adapt nature order, therefore all things that related to farm work is done well. According to the cosmic dual forces(陰陽), day and night alternate, temperature changes, four seasons circulate. so farm work cannot help relating to the cosmic dual forces(陰陽) and the five elements(五行: metal, wood, water, fire, earth). Farmers know it well.
Since Buddhism was introduced into Korea from China, it became a national religion and the spiritual mainstay of former. so it affect our spiritual life and cutural life. therefore there is a thought of je-haeng-moo-sang(諸行無常思想)-the core thought of Buddhism-in the words of farmer songs
