韓國農村女性組織의 發展方案에 관한 硏究

Our rural society is not only the original place to provide us for beautiful nature and foods, it is also our hometown. We must keep desirable because the good morals and manners of our traditional culture exist there.
Women who lives in agricultural communities have been devoted to morden development of their communities by solving the problems about absolute poverty since the independence in 1945.
In addition, as we have come to confront the situation of much competition from openization, internationalization and localization in rapidity, women's roles related to information and cullure become more important rather than those related to economic power and the sword. So through this study, following points must be borne in mind.
First, we must illuminate women's activities and roles related to participation in household affairs, forming and organization activities. And we have to cause women to have pride on their own achi evement.
Second, we must establish the future course of their activities in order to develop the organization which rural women belong to, more desirab1y.
Third, the policies to develop the oraganization which is composed of rural women must be searched for by governmenntal organics and groups.
Therefore I forgeted of the point that women's organization activities in rural communities render rural women not only contribute to the development of their societies but also have pride of their lives.
The subjects that I studied mainly are Rural Women Leaders Federation, Women School, Mothers' Assembly For Family Planning, Saemaul Women Club and another Saemaul Women Club to unionize the above four organizations in 1977.
Specially I'd like to tell you that Rural Women Leaders Federation had an effect on the development of local society.
I intended to not only research the period from 1945 to 1995, but also suggest future direction for organization. In the range of space, I investigated the whole of rural areas in korea, but fractional examples and questionnaires and the like were carried limitedly within Chungche？ngnam-Do.
Bacically I utilized materials from several records, interview and actual experiences, for this study.
I investigated 450 women who resident in 45 villages in 15 cities and counties within Chungche？ngnam-Do.
The range of their age (to be mentioned) was from 20 to 60 years. Frequency of participation in organization activity, the degree of satisfaction, substance of activities and something else …. These are the main contents in this survey.
In the 1st chapter, I mentioned the purpose, range and method of this study.
In the 2nd chapter, I considerated agricultural communities and women in rural regions.
In the 3rd chapter, I investigated both the transition process of women organization in rural region and the particulars about the activities of each organic.
In chapter 4, I mentioned the actual problems as well as the condition of their activities.
In chapter 5, I suggested the plans to develop women organics in rural communities.
In chapter 6, I suggested the conclusion of this study. The transition process of rural women organization is as following. The Rural Women Leaders Federation was established in 1958. Women School was created in 1967, and Mothers' Assembly for Family Planning in 1968, then the Saemanl Women Club was created in 1973. But these were abolished by the administrative command of government in 1977. After that, the Saemaul Women Club intergrated the above 4 organizations. In the powerful coaching and positive support of government. But its function has been enfeebled since 1988 while new organizations have been established since 1989. Life Improvement Assembly was created in 1994, and Housewife club began to start its activity in agricultural regions.
I suggested the plans to develop women organics in rural communities as following, on the basis of the problems which was found by the research process and questionnaires.
First, women themselves in the rural areas must determine the purposes and ideas of their own organics. And they must not only activate those points with a sense of sovereignty and independence, but also construct the future form of our rural society.
Second, their organic business must not only target the improvement of their members' abilities and welfare but also help the actual live.
Third, the organization must be managed by practical participation of their members in order to promote sub-organization and develop the members' abilities.
Fourth, Professional education for women in agricultural regions' must be legislated so that the activities of women organization in rural areas may be automized as much as possible, and further they may promote the self-control ability of women. Here each system must take a share in many kinds of roles.
Besides, our government must not only enable representitives to participate the process of local administration, but also subsidize their activities.
In conclusion, our government and society must vitalize several women's organizations in agricultural communities to develop abilities rural women are likely to have such as dilligence, endurance and courage which they readily exhibit at the risk of their own lives for their children because individual capibility itself cannot perform many kinds of roles on the large scale.
So through the governmental support for them, we have to promote women's welfare in short term.
On the other hand, we have to establish desirable society in relatively long period.
Women's participation in society has been expended by governmental policies on the basis of fundamental law for 재men's promotion which was legistated in December in 1995.
So both rural women's organizations and governmental organs or communities must make efforts to establish our rural society which is beautiful and affluent.
