도시 부부의 커뮤티케이션·상호작용에 관한 연구 : 가정환경변인을 중심으로 = A Study on the Communication and Marital Interaction among the Urban Couples

The purpose of this study is to survey their communication and marital interaction among the urban couples.
The selected sample is composed of 274 homemakers in Seoul, and 296 in Pusan, Jinju, Taejeon, Junju, Eiri, Inchon, Suwon, Chunchun, and Kangneung. The $quot;Communication Assessment Inventory$quot; developed by Buchanan has tested participants for communication and marital interaction.
In the process of the data analysis, the average, frequency, percentage, t-test, and F-test are used for 6 measurable areas; and the terms of the average and percentage are used only for the unmeasurable articles.
The major findings are as follows: firstly, in the evaluation of the marital interaction in 6 measurable areas, the area of the misunderstanding caused by the verbal communication, the area of marital affection and the area of the marriage life are calculated over the average total.
But the area of the conflict between husband and wife is much lower than the average total; therefore, it is urged that there needs a great effort for the promotion of the marital interaction in this area.
Secondly, in the extent of the marital communication, it has been proved that Seoul is higher than countryside, the home with 4/5 children higher than the home with 1-2 children, the marriage through solely mutual love higher than other marriages, middle-class homes higher than upper-or lower-class homes. The longer the marriage has continued, and the higher education the couple have received, the more extensive the communication is.
Wives who have fared a happy life before marriage also have a higher score, and it should be noted that wives who have maintained an intimate communication with their mothers and a comparatively close communication with their fathers concerning private matters have a more extensive communication with their husbands.
Thirdly, the way in which the wives expect their husbands to demand in an everyday life is much different from the way in which the husbands are actually demanding. Also, when the couple have a different opinion, the actual way to calm down their discord is much different from the way in which wives ordinarily hope to.
