朝鮮朝 靑華白磁에 나타난 動物紋樣에 關한 考察 = A Study of the Designed Patterns of Animal in the Cohalt-white pottery of Lee Dynasty

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is said that the Cobalt-white pottery is one which was pictured blue desiged patterns or paintings on the white pottery with the cobalt pigment.
This cobalt pigments had aleady been used in alloner persia, so the cobalt-white pottery which was imported to China through Arabian traders was greatly developed in China.
Our country reimported pigments which imported to China and made this cobalt-white pottery in the second year of king secho (1457) at first. Since it was very hard to get this pigment. it limitedly used only in lhe eepper circles. This pigment was found ont iu our country, so it was used with the pigments which was imported from China by the end of Lee Dynasty. But through Japan in the end of Lee Dynasty, Western cobalt was too much imported to our country. So this too much use of the cobalt pigment raised a question.
The expressive method of cobalt designed patterns was different from Korea Dynasty. It dofted pigments with a writing brush and pictured light and also was mainly composed of drawing technigue.
The pottery of Lee Dynasty expressed its unigue designed patterns which more felt our
body odours than any other period.
That is to say;
① It mean great happiness or wealth and fame In modern world.
② It expressed the literary poetical beauty.
③ It expressed the love between woman and man or arfection between husband and wife.
④ It meant that prayed the prolific and prosperity.
⑤ It expressed a propitious sign in the designed patterns.
We can see that the pbt, texture and planning of the designed pattern which showed on the cobalt-white pottery of Lee Dynasty inquired into higher dimensional beauty.
This is why central government controied, and managed, and had painters draw pictures.
Such a past excellent designed pattern will be applied to modern pottery handicraft, and also will be put to practical use with objects of seeking of beauty.
I think the study of the designed patterns in the cobalt-white pottery of Lee Dynasty will become a basis of higher standard of nodern handicraft.
So, I studied on the designed patterns of animal in the cobalt-white pottery of Lee Dynasty.
