大學 새마을運動 促進方案 硏究 = A study of Guidelines to promote University Saemaul Undong

Saemaul undong (New Community Movement) projects during the past to years are generally evaluated as having been remarkably successful, "the freedom from poverty" is the most important priority for the modernization of Korea.
At the initial stage of Saemaul Undong the projects were focused mainly on improve the living environments fo villiages.
One reason of this was that improvement of living environments was desperataly needed. Another reason was that it was much easier to induce the full participation of all villiagers.
By improving their living environments through cooperative efforts, villiagers have learned what the self-helf spirit is.
The movement has been instrumental in not only substantially improving the material life of the rural people but also instilling self-confidence among them that "We can do it."
Saemaul Undong is a movement for a better life.
The slogan for the movement consists of these words; "diligence, self-helf, and cooperation."
The spirit of patroitism and love of the people is the essence of the Saemaul spirit.
Saemaul Undong is a philosoply of action. Purposes of the study as follows:
① To explore the guiding ideas of the new-mind and the mothod employed to implement them in conjunction with Saemaul spirit based on the "chung(忠 loyalty), Hsiao(孝 filiatity), and Li(禮 propriety)".
② From grasping and criticizing the present aspect of the Clean-up drive. I am going to find out the trouble of an urgent problem. Contents of the study have two types;
① Analyze and examine the new-mind movement.
② The correlation between the Saemaul drive and Clean-up drive.
Methods of the study;
① Analzsis of literature ② Research (questionnaire)
Objectives of the study; The selection of school for study is based on the random sampling.
Treatments of materials; To account the frequeny of item by percentage.
Results of the study; The students are asserting the neccessity of the new-mind movement.
The spirit of clean-up movement is defined something as the "justice, order, and an original idea."
The clean-up drive in the school most of the students have tendency to accept the neccessity of the idea positively, especially, to renovate the educational atmosphere of the school.
