The fact that culture can become a crucial effecter to business management has already been an issue to Scholars. In every society there is a genuine culture and as every individual has a special character, there is a variety of culture among all corporations.
The world economy has been revolving into a single economy system and according to this change a company can provide a milestone to all members, also to develop and take care of company patterns seems to be a very effective performance.
Due to the diversification, M&A of companies and rapid mutation of market environment, the limit of the structure of an organization and means of management have been recognized and the point of view of 'corporate culture' is an innovative approach which rose above by the necessity of 'Environmental-Friendly Management'.
In spite of the importance of 'corporate culture' most CEOs focus on studying individual activities and values among groups such as duty satisfaction, inspiration, conflict and stress.
Thanks to the difference of every corporate culture these studies gained strength and logicality, appreciation of corporate culture has risen sharply and among world-wide companies the very right culture began to bloom.
By giving consideration to the importance and reality, and understanding that the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company each have different 'corporate culture' the main purpose of this research is to analyze how the culture of Owning Company affects the Hotel Management Company.
Especially a Hotel Company holds a great dependence on manpower, so not only due to the change of external environment canbe a reason of applying corporate culture but also to become aware of the change of internal environment and the turn of values among members it is also crucial to apply corporate culture to provide a direction to the members.
Also, the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company should not be studied in a simple pattern, with it the intentions and comprehension of culture and understanding of the culture of the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company should be within the hearts of the members so that the true meaning of formation of 'corporate culture' on the foundation of comparison culture management will be completed.
The purpose of this study is;
First, to study the character of comparison culture management between the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company on the basis of theoretical backgrounds of corporate culture, recognize the intentions of members and systemize the relationship among these concepts.
Second, study the organization culture of the management companyand seize the effect the organization culture gives to the corporate culture of the management company.
Third, what the communication and difference of culture between the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company brings to the corporate culture and what issue it may bring up.
Lastly, show the limit of this research and provide a milestone of following research.
Hotels which participated in the questionnaire of this study is consisted of Park Hyatt Seoul, Hyatt Regency Incheon, JW Marriot, The Ritz Carlton Seoul as well and the 'corporate culture' of these companies have made up this research.
This study has been based on overseas and domestic publications, research data and made possible the theoretical background, through the SPSS V12 the variables of data has been qualified, on the basis of decentralization, standard deviation T-verification has been completed, and by dispersion analysis, crossing analysis the results have been collected and analyzed.
The hypothesis built with this study is as below.
<Hypothesis of cause and effect of the research model>
Hypothesis 1.
Of the effect factors of corporate culture the Comparison Culture Management factor of the Owning Company holds mutual relationship with the creation of Hotel Management Company's corporate culture.
Hypothesis 2.
Among the effect factors of corporate culture the Organization culture factor of the Owning Company holds mutual relationship with the creation of Hotel Management Company's corporate culture.
Hypothesis 3.
Of the effect factors of corporate culture the Communication factor of the Owning Company holds mutual relationship with the creation of Hotel Management Company's corporate culture.
Hypothesis 4.
Among the effect factors of corporate culture variety of culture factor of the Owning Company holds mutual relationship with the creation of Hotel Management Company's corporate culture.
< Hypothesis of collective classification>
Due to the special characters of the members of the Hotel Management Company there exists a mutual relationship in the part of corporate culture between the Owning Company and the Hotel Management Company.
To come to a conclusion, this study possesses an attempt to understand the influence that a variety of culture can bring to the corporate culture of the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company as well.
This research holds a hope that improvement of 'corporate culture' and application of this study can devote greatly in the real relationship between the Owning Company and Hotel Management Company.
Moreover, in the following future this study should keep its basis accurately onthe empirical and thorough research for the very best 'Hotel Service Quality'.
