The 1907 Great Revival is the dynamic force of growth and spirituality which makes the Korean Church today. It is certain that the genuine Christian spirituality can nor prepared neither produced by a variety of church programs. The natural result of the 1907 Great Revival is to leave the spiritual vitality to Korean Church. The 1907 Revival is originated from a prayer and Bible study meeting at Monsoon in 1903. At the meeting missionary Robert Hardier confesses and repents his sins in public. The public repentance and prayer of the Monsoon meeting become a landmark of the Korean revival at that time. The revival atmosphere picks on high in January, 1907, in which the Bible Conference is held at Jandaihyun Church at Pyongyang. The particular work of the Holy Spirit touches all Korean Christians attended at the Conference. After that, the revival heat continues and spreads out to other city's and then all over the country. We call it the 1907 Great Revival.
It is certain that the 1907 Revival is the beginning ok the Korean Church's spirituality. This article pays attention to the natural result of the 1907 Revival which stimulates the shaping of Korean Church's spiritually. It deals with what the spiritual vitality's are, which the 1907 Great Revival leaves to Korean Church. They can be listed as four subjects: The Bible-centered faith, Prayer-centered faith, repentance and the renewal movement of society, and evangelism and mission movement. This article develops thoroughly these subjects. Through the 1907 Revival, as a matter of fact, the young Korean Church tastes particular experiences of Christian spirituality. Since then, these particular experiences have become both spiritual nutrition and driving force for the growth of Korean Church. They also are the historical legacy that Korean Church today must keep in its own heart.
