초등교사 양성기관의 국악 관련 교육과정 현황 및 개선방안 = Current Status and Improvement Plan of Korean Music Curriculum in Elementary School Teacher Training Institutions

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등교사 양성기관의 국악 관련 교육과정 현황과 문제점을 살펴보고 그에 따른 개선방안을 모색해 보았으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등교사 양성기관의 교육과정 편성 및 운영의 근거로 교원양성대학의 역량 진단 준거 중 교육과정을 제시하였다. 특히 진단 준거인 교육과정의 지표 중 교과 교육과정 편성및 운영의 적절성에서 학‧내외 의견수렴, 과목 간 형평성, 개정 교육과정 내용 반영 정도 등을 초등교사 양성기관의 교육과정 편성 시 반드시 고려할 근거라고 보았다. 그리고 이와 연계하여 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의국악 비중과 초등 임용고사의 국악 비중도 교육과정 편성의 근거로 제안하였다. 둘째, 교육과정 편성의 근거를바탕으로 초등교사 양성기관인 교육대학교를 비롯하여 13개의 기관의 교육과정에서 국악 관련 교과목을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 학점 및 시수에 있어서 서양음악과 국악 관련 교과목의 과도한 불균형, 과목 편성의 기준에있어서 서양음악은 세부과목으로 편성한 반면 국악은 포괄적으로 편성함으로써 나타난 서양음악과 국악의 편성 기준의 불일치, 국악 관련 과목 중 공통 필수 과목의 부족 등을 문제점으로 지적하였다. 이에 대한 개선방안으로 국악 관련 시수와 교과목의 확대, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정과 교과서의 국악 비중을 고려하여 전체과목의 30~40%를 국악 과목으로 편성, 2~3개 과목은 공통 필수 과목으로 선정, 그리고 근본적인 해결방안으로 국악 전임교원의 확보를 제안하였다. 나아가 교수의 최소 수업 시수를 줄이거나 교육과정 편제 개정을 통해심화과정 이수 학점을 줄여서 국악과 같이 부족한 교과목의 편성에 활용하는 방안도 제안하였다

This study examined the current status and problems of the curriculum related to korean music in elementary school teacher training institutions and sought ways to improve it, and the results are as follows. Firstly, the curriculum of the competency diagnostic criteria of teacher training university was presented as the basis for the curriculum organisation and operation of elementary school teacher training institutions. In particular, among the curriculum indicators which are one of the diagnostic criteria, the appropriateness of curriculum organisation and operation, collecting internal and external opinions, equity among subjects, and the extent to which the 2022 revised curriculum contents are reflected were considered as the basis for the curriculum organisation of elementary school teacher training institutions. In connection with this, the proportion of Korean music in the 2022 revised music curriculum and the proportion of Korean music in the elementary school teacher recruitment examination were also proposed as the basis for curriculum organisation. Secondly, Based on the basis of the curriculum organization, Korean music-related subjects were considered in the curriculum of 13 elementary school teacher training institutions. As a result, problems such as excessive imbalances in Western music and Korean music subjects in terms of credits and hours, differences in subject composition standards(for example, western music is organized as a subcategory and Korean music is organized comprehensively), and lack of common compulsory Korean music subjects. As a solution, they were suggested expanding the number of hours and subjects related to Korean music, organising 30 to 40 percent of all subjects as Korean music subjects in consideration of the proportion of Korean music in the 2022 revised music curriculum and textbooks, selecting two to three subjects as common compulsory Korean music subjects, and securing full-time Korean music professors as a fundamental solution. Furthermore, it was suggested that the minimum number of teaching hours for professors should be reduced, and that the number of credits for advanced courses should be reduced through curriculum revision, so that they can be used for subjects that are in short supply, such as Korean music.
