古今笑叢에 대한 一考察 : 《교수잡사》의 경우 Especially in the center of 《Gyosuchabsa》 = A Study On Gogumsochong

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

《Gogumsochong(古今笑叢)》-ancient and today ridiculous stories-is wrongly recognized as filthy and sexual stories. This thesis is to view the records concerning 《Gogumsochong in order to remove such filthy prejudiced view, to take a general view of 《Gyosuchabsa(攪睡잡사)》collecting 86 stories consisting 11 types of stories in 《Gogumsochong》, and especially to pursue the literary value about each of 22 pieces, which have not been translated into korean or studied yet among 86 stories.
The result is as follows:
1. It seems that the preface of 《Gogumsochong》and its just cause appearing leter are said to be instructivity and pleasure which are the literary functions, and to appeal to general human hearts.
2. It is necessry to recognize that 《Gogimsochong》 includes naked and filthy stories while has gheat part of the stories with literary value, and 《Gogumsochong》 is to general human hearts.
3. Though 《Gyosuchabsa》 is collected with many stories which are valuable in literature it is nearly debated in the lterature history or the theory of works.
4. The 86 stories in 《Gyosuchabsa》 are drawn up the lists to be taken a general view of, and 22 stories that are not translated are examined respectively.
1) The characters are distributed from gentlemen from common people, and the activities of all theclasses are decribed in reality. Especially many stories arc to deal with the negative aspects of the governing classes, and the sorrow and pleasant lives of the citizens appear in stories.
2) In view of the auther's comment, it seems that the stories have no subjective viewpoint of the author. This has the different side from the other collecting stories in 《Gogumsochong》 and it seems to reveal the result of the prcceeding literary view.
3) It is possible to estimate that 22 stories have generality and individuality respectively and have the functions of instructivity and pleasure.
5. As the result of studying《Gyosuchabsa》 it is possible that the other storice of 《Gogumsochong》 have the value of studying.
