평생교육체제 대학교 성인학습자의 디지털문해력 교육 경험 연구 = A Study on the Digital Literacy Education Experience of Adult Learners’ in the Lifelong Education System

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 평생교육체제 대학교에 재학중인 성인학습자의 디지털문해력 교육 경험을 심층면담 질적연구를 통해 평생교육체제 대학교육에서 디지털문해력 교육의 의미와 필요성을 확인하고, 대학교에서 디지털문해력 역량강화를 위한 교육지원체계 요구를 도출하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 강원지역 G대학교 성인학습자 디지털문해력 교육의 설계 방향에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 질적연구 심층면담을 진행했다. G대학교에 재학중인 성인학습자 중 디지털문해력 교육을 이수한 6인을 연구참여자로 선정하였고, 심층면담을 통하여 자료수집 및 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 다음의 연구 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 대학교 학부과정의 성인학습자들의 디지털문해력 교육은 디지털비문해자 또는 낮은 수준의 디지털문해자로서 경험했던 모르는 답답함과, 늦지만 배워가는 즐거움 및 감사함의 정서를 나타냈다. 답답한 감정은 이해와 알아감에서 오는 즐거움으로 바뀌고, 배우고자 하는 학습동기로 전환되었다. 둘째, 다양한 연령층의 평생교육 지원체제 성인학습자들은 기초학습능력과 경험의 개인 차가 다양하므로 개별화 된 디지털문해력 교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 반복 연습과 다양한 상황에 적응할 수 있는 유연한 지원체계는 학습자들의 앎에 대한 즐거움과 소통 및 공감에 대한 만족도를 더 향상시킬 것이다. 본 연구는 디지털기기와 디지털매체 활용 등에 대한 큰 정보 격차 및 디지털문해력이 현저히 낮은 연령대의 연구참여자가 대부분으로 보다 넓은 연령대의 연구참여자가 포함되지 못한 것이 연구의 한계점이다. 향후 후속연구로 다양한 연령층의 디지털문해력 교육 경험 연구를 통해 지속적으로 증가하는 성인학습자들의 학습참여와 자기주도적 학습지속를 위한 지원체제를 이끌어낼 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the meaning and necessity of digital literacy education in lifelong education support system university education through in-depth interview qualitative research on the perception of digital literacy education of adult learners enrolled in undergraduate programs at universities, and to derive the demand for an educational support system to strengthen digital literacy competencies at universities. To this end, an in-depth interview with qualitative research was conducted to obtain implications for the design direction of digital literacy education for adult learners at G University in Gangwon Province. Six adult learners enrolled in the undergraduate program at G University were selected as participants in the study, and data collection and analysis were conducted through in-depth interviews. Through this, the following research implications were derived. First, digital literacy education of adult learners in undergraduate courses at universities is a feeling of frustration that they do not know as digital non-literators or low-level digital literacy, and a feeling of joy and gratitude to learn belatedly. Frustrating emotions have changed from understanding and knowing to pleasure that comes from understanding and knowing, and have been converted to learning motivation to learn. However, in order to improve digital literacy and motivation to participate in learning, it is necessary to establish a support system for the establishment of regular education in order to improve digital literacy and learning participation, because it is not a continuously opened course. Second, adult learners of various age groups need individualized digital literacy education programs because individual differences in basic learning abilities and experiences vary. Repeated practice and a flexible support system that can adapt to various situations will further improve learners' enjoyment of knowing and satisfaction with communication and empathy. The limitations of this study are that most of the research participants in the age group with significantly lower digital literacy and the large information gap on the use of digital devices and digital media are not included.
