대만에 수출된 한국 창작 그림책의 현황과 의의 -‘모두가 읽는 좋은 책’과 ‘오픈북 올해의 좋은 책’에 선정된 도서를 중심으로- = Current Status and Significance of Korean Creative Picture Books Exported to Taiwan -Focusing on books selected for "Good Books for Everyone" and "OPEN BOOK's Good Books of the Year"-

Since 2010, Korean picture books have been making remarkable strides, not only in terms of the explosive increase in the number of publications but also in terms of their qualitative achievements. Korean picture books active on the global stage are particularly welcomed in Taiwan. In various sectors of Taiwan's reading promotion activities, Korean picture books have been selected as outstanding works in categories such as 'Good Books for Everyone(好書大家讀) ' and 'OPEN BOOK's Good Books of the Year(OPEN BOOK年度好書獎),' actively recommended to Taiwanese readers. This is because external factors such as Korean authors winning domestic and international awards or having their works known through international book fairs, coupled with positive sentiments due to the Korean wave in Taiwan, have interacted with the internal factors of the originality and excellence of the works. If the ongoing Korean wave in Taiwan continues and the qualitative level of Korean picture books is ensured, Korean picture books will continue to advance in the future. In order to further develop in the midst of this trend, it is imperative for the government's support to bolster external factors, along with authors demonstrating creativity to produce excellent works no less than those promoted by related organizations. Furthermore, to support Korean picture books' fantastic journey, collaboration among readers, critics, and researchers is also crucial.
