고려시대의 토지(土地)에 대한 다양한 해석 -토지관(土地觀)을 중심으로 = A Study on the View of Earth during the Goryo Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

人格神으로서의 地靈의 존재를 상정하고 儀禮를 통해 개인의 행복에서부터 공동체의 번영을 기원하는 믿음은 넓은 의미의 祖上性을 바탕으로 하는 巫敎의 세계관 위에서 생성된 것이었다. 중국으로부터 理性化된 儒敎의례를 받아들이면서 地祇가 설정되고 方澤제사가 이루어지기도 하였으나, ``領地의 神``인 ``五土總神``에게 풍년을 기원하고 나아가 ``土計貢稅之法``을 통해 土地稅부과의 원칙을 찾는다는 점에서 社稷壇에서의 제사가 보다 직접적이고 효율적일 수 있었다. 이처럼 유교문화가 도입되고 農本主義가 강조되는 가운데 風水說이 유행하여 특히 ``터`` 의식의 한 형태인 地德이 중시되었는데, 이는 地氣가 發福하여 人間事에 긍정적 영향을 미치게 된다는 氣感應式 인식체계로서 形勢論的 관점이었다. 나아가 形局論은 분명치 않은 자연의 모습을 어떤 특정 물체의 형상에 유추하여 해석함으로써 明堂論은 더욱 구체화되고 설득력을 갖출 수 있었다. 그러나 지덕은 관념적인 것만은 아니었으며 衰旺이 있을뿐더러 훼손될 수도 있었다. 이와 관련한 裨補 혹은 厭勝 처방은 토지의 이용과정에서 불교라든가 도교적 요소가 전통적인 巫敎의 영역을 파고들어 감에 따라 나타나는 현상들이라고 하겠다. 한편 農本主義的 인식이 점차 깊어진 결과 "土地는 본래 백성을 기르기 위한 것"이라는 생각이 일반화되었다. 또한 국가도 이념상으로나마 백성들에게 衣·食·住를 뒷받침하는 형식을 취함으로써 養民의 토대로서의 토지관은 강화되고 있었다. 이에 양민의 과정을 확인하고 군주를 경계하기 위한 天譴論이 災異思想을 통해 庶徵의 형태로 구체화되었다. 그러나 禳災를 위한 修德의 과정은 때로 불교 내지는 풍수적 관점에 의해 벽에 부딪히곤 하였는데 그 이면에는 巫意識이 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A belief in spirits of terrain(地靈), praying for humman happiness and common prosperity through the ritual, is formed from the world view of Korean Shamanism. And on the point that the belief is based on worshiping ancestors and consisted of the ``Gut(굿)`` in its rituals, it is distinguished from the animism After having accepted the rational rituals in Confucianism, the Goryo Dynasty have ever dedicated to the god of the earth(地祇) at Bangtaek(方澤), being compared to the god of the heaven. But dedication to the god of the territory named by Otochoingsin(五土總神) could be more direct and effective for it`s people, when they wish for a good harvest and seek for the principle of land taxation through the Tokyekongsezibup(土計貢稅之法). In an atmosphere that Confucian culture is accepted and physiocracy is strongly emphasized, the theory of configuration of the ground(風水說) was popular with people in and around the theory of Ziduk(地德說). That theory is vapor induction identification system of the situational view points(形勢論), populary known as the vapor of the earth bring about a favorable change in fortune, By embodyment the lay of a land in something like a living creature(形局論), view points of the perfect spot for human life(明堂論) can give shape to a plan and be persuasive. But the theory of Ziduk is not always an abstract concept and there is prosperity or decline in it and it could be damaged or protected. In this connection, the use of the Bibo(裨補) or the Yeomseung(厭勝) is the phenomena according to the fact that Budhism or Taoism penetrates into Korean Shamanism. As the spirit of physiocracy become serious, the thought that land is the thing for bringing up the people is generalized. and As the State take actions supporting the people food, clothing, and shelter ideologically, the view of land in an sense of foundation for bringing people is more deeply fortified. For that reason, the theory of divine reprimand(天譴論) is the thing for nobility to make sure the coures of bringing up the people(養民) and take warning from the King`s failure and it is materialized in the form of general symptoms in thought of natural disaster. But through the fact that the ascetical course(修德) for averting a disaster was oftenly disturbed by aspect of Budhism or the theory of configuration of the ground, we can find out the mind for the Korean Shamanim(巫意識) under such the phenomena.
