인조반정 전후 경상도지역에서의 남북인 갈등과 대북인(大北人) 처리 = Conflict between Bukin and Namin Party and treatment of Bukin in Gyeongsang-do before and after King Injo Restoration(仁祖反正)

This study examines the political conflict between Bukin and Namin Party that developed in the Gyeongsang-do region from the Japanese Invasion of 1592 until King Injo restoration of 1623, and the punishment of Bukin within the local community after King Injo restoration.
The conflict that developed in the Gyeongsang-do region after the end of the Japanese Invasion of 1592 was a process of settling various incidents that occurred during the course of the war. It was also about resolving the conflicts that arose in connection with trends in central politics after the establishment of Gwanghaegun(光海君)'s regime at the local level. During the war, the gentry in the Gyeongsang-do region took control of the region through volunteering army activities. The local gentry established a regional order by repairing local and carrying out local administration.
However, as Gwanghaegun’s regime was established, the Nammyeong school based in the Gyeongsang-do region, including Jeong In-hong (鄭仁弘), made progress, and conflicts arose between Toegye and Nammyeong scholars in various regions, including Daegu. This was clearly evident in the Daegu area, where the Nammyeong and Toegye scholars clashed violently. In the Daegu area, with the fall of Jeong In-hong after King Injo restoration, the Toegye scholars took over the leadership, but people from the Nammyeong scholars also maintained a certain amount of influence during King Injo period.
After King Injo Restroration, the Gyeongsang-right region fell as the Naeam scholars, which had been dominant before, suffered a great blow from the central government. However, the Gyeongsangleft region punished Daebuk party and pro-Daebuk party through local committee. There were many cases where the punishment system of the central government and local committee did not match. The Daebuk party exercised strong control in the Gyeongsang-right region, but also had supporters in the Gyeongsang-left region through volunteering military and academic connections. Therefore, there were cases where the level of punishment was lowered while punishing people related to Daebuk party in the region. The reason that there were differences in the positions of the central government and local power while reorganizing the region after the Japanese invasions of 1592. There is also a possibility that the principle of punishment was not decided by the region itself but was a request from outside.
