한국어 교육과정 개발 연구 : 중국인 근로자를 대상으로 = A Study on the Development of Korean Language Curriculum for Chinese Migrant Workers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to develop the Korean language curriculum for Chinese migrant workers and to suggest directions to curriculum development which is suitable for their characteristics and needs by means of needs analysis.
Chinese migrant workers need to learn Korean language but have almost no chance to do. It is nearly impossible to expect educational effectiveness and achievement of goals and objectives by using a curriculum for general leaners. Therefore it is needed to develop a curriculum which is suitable and adequate for Chinese migrant workers' needs and characteristics. For this, the initiative needs analysis of Chinese migrant workers and educational goal and objective setting are required at the beginning of curriculum design.
The study on Korean education for migrant workers is gradually increasing and necessary. This study reviews the present situation of increasing Chinese migrant workers gradually and problem of the Korean language education for them.
For these research questions, questionnaire has chosen as a research method, and surveyed in Cheonan migrant workers' center.
As a results of this study, Chinese migrant workers' needs of communicative situations and functions have been interpreted, and their language difficulties and preference of learning style have been found. Also responders' demographical data and general needs could be used as fundamental resources for curriculum development.
According to interpretations of migrant workers' needs of goal and objectives through general needs analysis and analysis of communicative situations and functions, the goal must be obtaining and enhancing communicative competence of migrant workers covering all real-world domain not only migrant workers' occupational domain but also daily life domain. To accomplish this goal, first, understanding of migrant workers' communicative needs analysis is required, and following the results of analysis, the concrete objectives in learning and teaching can be set up.
By analysing the needs of real-world communications priorities of them, it can be decided. This study presents the theoretical base of developing direction through integration of the above elements and reviews questionnaire for needs of Chinese migrant workers studying Korean for about two hours a week in Cheonan migrant workers' center.
Chapter Ⅰdeals with the purpose and necessity of this study and also the subject and method after reviewing other studies of Korean language curriculum for migrant workers.
Chapter Ⅱ reviews the theories related to the Korean language curriculum, the communicative language teaching methods and the learner-centered education in order to establish the direction and scope of the dissertation.
Chapter Ⅲ performs the needs analysis for establishing the Korean language curriculum of the Chinese migrant workers. It is divided into 2 parts: their daily home life and work life. In this chapter, Chinese migrant workers are asked which one they believe is better to learn Korean first with respect
Chapter Ⅳ represents the direction of the Korean language education curriculum for Chinese migrant workers and sets up its goals and objectives on the basis of the previous needs analysis of previous chapter.
Chapter Ⅴ summaries the results obtained in this study and reveals its scope and limitations. It ends with a proposal in view of the development of the Korean language education for Chinese migrants workers.
