한국어판 Offer 청소년 자아상 설문지 개발을 위한 예비 연구 = Preliminary Study for the Development of the Korean Version of the Offer Self-image Questionnaire for Adolescents

Objects: This study has two purposes. One is to develop a Korean version of the Offer Self-Image Questionnaire for Adolescents(OSIQ) and the other one is to observe the transcultural differences of the self-image between Korean adolescents and those of other countries.
Metods: Korean version of the OSIQ was applied to 406 Korean adolescents.
Results:
1) There week test-retest reliabilities of the subscales of OSIQ were between the range of 0.72 to 0.91(p<0.001). Test-retest reliability of the total scores of the OSIQ was 0.94(p<0.001).
2) Correlations between the 10 subscales of the OSIQ were statistically significant except the sexual attitude subscale. Cronbach's alpha from the 10 subscales of the OSIQ was 0.86 and split-half reliablity was 0.88.
3) Cronbach's alphas for the internal consistencies of the subscales were above 0.6 except the Body image, Vocational and educational goals and Mastery of the external world subscales. When 2 items were deleted, the educational goal was increased to 0.60.
4) Split-Half reliabilities using the Spearman-Brown reliabilities were between the range of 0.6 to 0.8 except the subscales of Vocational and educational goal and Superior adjustment subscales.
5) Satistically significant sexual and age differences were found except the subscales of the Social relationships, Vocational and educational goals and Superior adjustment.
6) The mean scores of the subscales of the OSIQ of the Korean adolescents were tend to be lower than those of the western country samples.
Conclusion: These results indicate that OSIQ is a reliable insturment for the evaluation of the psychology of the Korean adolescents if we delete two items. The authors suggest that future researches should be directed to obtain normative datas using more varied populations and should test for the validity of the OSIQ.
