『대학』과 사상철학(四象哲學)의 마음론 고찰 = A Study of The Great Learning and the theory of maeum in the Sasang philosophy

In this paper, The correlation between the theory of maeum in Sasang philosophy and the Great Learning's academic content is investigated. The Sasang philosophy is based on the advanced Confucianism. In the Great Learning, the theory of maeum come to light through brilliant virtue( Myeongdeok) in SamGangRyeong, sincere in their thoughts(Seongui)·rectified their hearts(Jeongsim) in the clause of eight, and SaSimSeol of wrath(Bunchi)·terror(Gonggu)·pleasure and favorance(Huiho)·anxiety(Uhwan)
First of all, Sa·Sim·Sin·Mul which are the core of the Sasang philosophy are originated in the Mulyubonmal and Sayujongsi and the Rectified their hearts(Jeongsim) and Moral training(Susin) in the clause of eight of in the Great Learning directly. And discussed on the correlation between Sa· Sim·Sin·Mul and the clause of eight directly. It is related that Sa and well their States & whole Kingdom(Chiguk·Pyeongchunha), Sim and the investigation of things & extension of knowledge( Gyeokmul·Chiji), Sin and the sincere in their thoughts & rectified their hearts(Seongui· Jeongsim), Mul and moral training and home management(Susin·Jega) respectively, and then discussed on the method of control from human nature and things to world and nation.
In addition, We can know that Disliking stench(Oakchwi) and Liking good color(Hohosaek) are defined in the sincere in their thoughts(Seongui) in the clause of eight of the Great Learning, and then they are developed into maeum of hoseon and maeum of oak.
The maeum of hoseon and maeum of Oak is developed into the theory of maeum of the Sasangin according to the Seonggi and Jeonggi of the Sorrow·Anger·Pleasure·Joy and the size of organs of the lungsㆍspleenㆍliverㆍkidneys.
The Feelings of love and envy come to light through enlarging favorance and disfavor in the Great Learning, it is developing into the maeum of Hohyunraksun and Tuhyeonjilneung in the Gwangjeseol. The working of the maeum of disfavoring bad and favoring good conforms to the rule of yin and yang, it makes known human basic maeum.
Finally, The four improper maeum become known as the four maeums of wrath·terror·enjoyment· anxiety in the Rectified their hearts(Jeongsim) in the clause of eight of the Great Learning. These are coupled with anger(Bunno)·sorrow(Biae)·pleasure and favorance(Huiho)·extravagance and joy(Chirak) that revealed from improper Maeums of Jeonggi of the sorrowㆍangerㆍpleasureㆍ joy.
The Chirak of Taeeumin is connected with Horak, Biae of Soyangin is connected with Gongu, Heuho of Soeumin is connected with Uhwan, Bunno of Taeyangin is connected with Bunchi respectively.
Besides, the Sasimseol is responding to the always maeums that fright(Geopsim)·fear(Gusim)· urgent maeum(Geupbakjisim)·uneasiness(Bulanjeongjisim), and then the fright of Taeeumin is connected with enjoyment(Horak), the fear(Gusim) of Soyangin is connected with terror(Gongu), the uneasiness( Bulan) of Soeumin is connected with anxiety(Uhwan), the urgent maeum(Geupbak) of Taeyangin is connected with wrath(Bunchi) respectively.
