産業體勤勞靑少年의 性敎育課程 模型 開發에 關한 硏究 = A Study on the development of a Curriculum Model for Sex Education of Young Employees in Industrial Corporations

The objective of the study is to design an optimum curriculum model for sex education of young employees working at each industrial company in Korea in order to sublimate their present sexual conflict and frustration, and thus to help them to work more efficiently.
The study which was launched in July 1984 continuing until June 1985, adopted the questionaire survey approach to obtain relevant information from 1,200 young employees at 12 industrial companies which were sampled at random throughout the country. Those who were kind enough to answer the questionaires amount to 912 workers.
On the basis of the questionaire and documentary information we were able to find out young employees' major sexual problems and facts such as lack of fundamental knowledge of sex, radical consciousness about sex, positive thought about premarital coitus. Meanwhile, we recognized that young employees usually get sexual knowledge and information through mass communication such as newspaper, TV, weekly magazine and radio. And it is noted that approximately 90% of them have not experienced sex education at their companies, even though 44.7% of them are in deep agony caused by premarital pregnancy and trouble of love, and 99.9% of respondents are in need of sex education at their industrial companies.
In order to surmount these problems and to satisfy young employees' needs, we designed a practical curriculum model, which mandates such components as objectives of sex education, major contents, essential learning experiences, guidelines to teacher and evaluation, etc.
In the actual application of the proposed model, it is to be always keep in mind that lecturers should try not to stimulate young boys and girls' sexual shyness and should make use of living examples in order to intensify students' learning motivation. Additionally, it is also recommended that learning group be consisted of boys and girls, and the proposed model be properly or flexively modified in actual teaching-learning situations depending on the characteristic features of the course or subject being taught.
Conclusively, what is most important in the application of the model is strong and firm belief to teach efficiently and their teaching methods.
