Young adults are the future of the Church. They would take the leading part of the next generation, not the distant future. In the Church, thus, in spite of that she should take an interest on the youth until they have treated the Young adult Ministry involuntarily. Therefore, the researcher examines the religious life and an attitude of the youth, then based on the datum, the researcher investigates ways of the youth-ministry in the contemporary society.
In Chapter I, firstly, the fundamental understanding of the young adult is studied in the respects of the physical, emotional, cognitional trait. For doing so, the understanding of a psychological point of view has been preceded.
In Chapter II, the researcher examines social, cultural sense and phenomenon of the young adult researching from a general understanding of the youth. In detail, the actual conditions were investigated from the point of a family view, a social view, a sexuality view, a religious view.
In Chapter III, as a part of the core research, the understanding of the young adult was examined from an aspect of the Church. As the researcher inquires the Church's documents on the young adult since the Vatican Council II, devising the understanding of the young adult from the theologica
l viewpoint, then, suggesting the sense and reality of the young adult in the contemporary world.
In Chapter IV, the researcher investigates the actual conditions of the religious sense and life of the young adult in Daegu Archdiocese; using by the analyses and the statistics of the request papers on the religious life and sense of the young adult, for diagnosing the youth-ministry reality accurately in the Archdiocese of Daegu.
In order to analyze the statistics, as the researcher uses "SAS(Statistic Analysis System)" which is a statistic package program that is general using, "Frequency analysis" which is a general method of an analysis of a statistic and "Crosstabulation" were enforced. Furthermore, the researcher tries to find a reform measure of the young adult ministry and a religious sense in the Church, using datum of other dioceses integrally.
Finally, in Chapter V, while summarizing ways of the youth-ministry as the results of the study, the researcher suggests concrete ways of the young adult ministry in the contemporary world.
It would be a model of the young adult ministry that a story of two disciples going to Emmaus in the Bible. It is very an approaching and leading for self-awareness of the youth Jesus' image.
For the revitalization of the young adult ministry, the Church should listen attentively to voices of the youth than anything else, then entering upon the ground of their life and she makes them realize that they are living in the core of the Church. For they are, that is, the hope and the future of the Church.
Therefore, the Church should devote all her strength to the young adult.
