산상왕의 혼인과 고구려의 정치 - 나부세력의 동향을 중심으로 - = The Marriage of King Sansang(山上王) and the Politics of Goguryo(高句麗) - Focusing on the tendency of Nabu powers -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study illuminates the politics of the Goguryo and the tendency of Nabu powers(那部勢力) through events revealed to the process of King Sansang`s enthronement and marriage. King Sansang was a younger brother to King Gogukchon(故國川王) and was enthroned with the help of Woossi(于氏), the queen consort. Therefore, King Sansang accepted Woossi as his queen. Then the queen enjoyed the highest position as a queen`s who had force over three generations as she became the king`s mother. King Sansang`s enthronement was derived from political intervention of Woossi under the cloak of the dying words by King Gogukchon. King Gogukchon did not have a son to succeed to him and in that case, it was custom that the first younger brother would succeed the throne. Therefore it was natural for Balki(發岐), the first young brother, to succeed the throne after King Gogukchon died, but queen Woossi concealed the death of the king and met Balki and Yeonwoo(延優) to discuss enthronement. In that process, Balki misunderstood the queen`s suggestion and refused to take it. Then, queen Woossi visited Yeonwoo`s place and Yeonwoo responded positively to her suggestion resulting in a successful enthronement. The first younger brother Balki was dissatisfied with the enthronement of Yeonwoo following King Gogukchon and deviated from the regime of King Sansang together with Sonobu(消奴部) which supported him. Balki and Sonobu referred themselves to Gongsonssi(公孫氏)`s regime which transferred to Liaodong(遼東) and then returned to edge of the Biryusu, the basis of their power. At this time, Balki attempted to defeat King Sansang`s regime by borrowing 30,000 soldiers from Gongsonssi`s regime, but this failed and he died. However, it seems that Sonobu, which supported Balki, did not join King Sansang`s regime. The 『Samgukji(三國志)』 expressed the situation as `Gangjaksinguk(更作新國, rebuild up new government)` by King Sansang. This was a clue to reveal the situation at that time in that King Sansang`s regime could not maintain a friendly relationship with Sonobu. Although King Sansang was enthroned with the help of Yeonnabu(椽那部) which was led by queen Woossi, he intended to gradually reinforce his regime. Such an opportunity was revealed through the process to gain a son to succeed him. King Sansang and queen Woossi did not have a son and the king prayed for a son in his 7th year of reign. On the night of his prayers, a god appeared in his dream and told him that a second queen(小后) would have a son for him. At the time King Sansang did not have a second queen and then fell in love with a woman he met from Jootongchon(酒桶村) because of a pig which would be used for a religious ceremony. From her, Gyoche(郊처), the next King Dongchon(東川王), was born. The woman from Gwannabu(Ja:m{fB) became the second queen, which indicates that their marriage was destined by Heaven. Finally, this study discovered that combining King Sansang`s regime with Yeonnabu, secession of Sonobu and Goguryo`s political direction pursuing new relationships between Goguryo and Gwannabu were inherent in that marriage.
