國民學校 體育施設 管理의 實態와 改善方案 = A Study on the Actual Condition of a Physical Training Facility and its Improvement in Primary School

This paper is to investigate and analyze 189 primary schools in Chun-
nam …46 schools in city, 53 in kun and 9 in myon …to grasp the actual
condition of management of physical training facilities in primary schools.
The conclusion is as follows :
1) Managerial system
i) Though the plan and regulation for use of physical training
facility are established, the facility is used formally.
ii) The system for management of physical training facility is
organized by the primary schools in city area but is not in rural
one. The management of physical training department or a clerk
in this part.
2) Management of facility
i) The opinion of a clerk and teaching staff is adopted in case of
repairing or supplementing educational facility, but the facility
is mended or supplemented once a year even in a special event,
ii) The norm of educational facilities is generally proper but the
state of their establishment is not. They are usually stored in a
storehouse.
3) Physical training learning
i) In a physical training class the practical uses of physical
training facilities and the guidance of uses of sporting goods
are arbitarily determined by guidance teachers. The physical
training facilities which have high frequency of use are facilities
for play and basket-ball game.
ii) The facility for basket-ball game is imperfect and the educational
implements which feel short of are those for ball games. The
form of track lines is that of a diagonal track lines because the
ground for ball games and field events is small in scale.
4) Safety check-up and facility opening
i) Safety check-up is usually planned once a month but is practica-
lly done once per semester. The reason why the check-up is not
done regularly is that teachers have so many tasks to do and
usually do not meet any accident that they show indifference to it.
ii) The opening of school ground to the inhabitants of the area is
always done when necessary but the destruction or lose of
facility is indicated as problems.
