초대교회 관점에서 본 구원사의 연속성 : 누가복음과 사도행전을 중심으로 = Continuity of God’s Salvation History from the Perspective of the Early Church : Focusing on the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles

Through the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts, readers see Luke’s rich imagination and literary skill in telling the story of God’s salvation. This allows us to recognize that Luke not only had excellent rhetorical skills due to his high level of Greek education, but also had a deep understanding of the law despite being a Gentile.
Luke asserted the tradition and authority of his writings and unfolded the structure of the overall story through the use of Biblical language and archetypes or through indirect quotations because he had thorough knowledge of the Old Testament. Luke summarizes the Bible that the readers know and uses tools such as sermons or speech forms including prophecies, travel, continuity, and parallel structure to increase readers’ interest in the book of Acts, which contain the story of salvation. Therefore, this study aimed to research the text written by Luke with a framework of continuity among the writing styles, such as techniques for conveying the story and approaching to events, and methods of expression when unfolding the history of God’s salvation that he has learned, experienced, believed in and understood.
In the Gospel, Luke deals with the story of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee and Jerusalem, and the preaching of the gospel of repentance to his disciples after Jesus’ death and resurrection starting with the story of Jesus’ public life with the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus.
In the following introduction to book of Acts. Luke tells several independent stories such as the resurrected Jesus proclaiming his disciples to go to the ends of the earth with the gospel of Jesus that seem unrelated to the disciples’ process of expanding and unfolding the story of Jesus’ salvation. In this way, Luke uses a variety of writing devices, such as a sudden start to the story, the appearance of an important character, or a twist, to make each story more moving and dramatic. At the same time, Luke emphasizes that God’s promise to Israel through the prophets of the Old Testament is fulfilled through Jesus, and that fulfillment is expanded through the disciples. The fact that this achievement was the fulfillment of God’s past promise to Israel is repeatedly conveyed to readers through various events and stories in the text. It is discovered that Luke describes it as a structure of continuity between Old Testament prophecy and Luke’s Gospel and Acts as he consistently unfolds the story of God’s salvation. Behind this, it is found that the basic premise and understanding of the continuous structure of prophecy and fulfillment lies in the stories of the prophets, Jesus, and the disciples.
