保健敎育 效果에 關한 硏究 : 豫防接種事業을 中心으로 = A Study on Evaluation of Health Education Activities in Vaccination Propram

This study is based on the assumption that vaccination program can be viewed by
1) the personal factors such as age, education, occupation, and socio economic status of the family etc.
2) area factors such as distance from health center and slum area or not
3) program factors including information education program to public such as number of home visits done by public health workers and the frequencies of spot announcement on the program by loud speaker from mobile car.
2793 subjects from a health center which is located in metropolitan area were studied from. Sept. 1. 1978 to Aug. 31. 1979.
Children's vaccination status of Polio, B.C.G. and Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertusis (D.P.T) vaccine were asked to formulate the Vaccination Index which is weighted by vaccination status: Child who was vaccinated properly weighted high, child who was vaccinated not timely and regularly on 3 basic vaccination items and lastly those who did not vaccinated weighted low. Registration rate (Number of health center visits) were also used.
Multiple classification analysis was employed and 4 independent variables were grouped and 7 successive operations were used to cover the limitation of this method.
The results of the study obtained are as follows;
1. Eta²score which could be explained by independent variables, area factor showed high and home visits went next with 0.384, Spot announcement showed with 0.123 and personal factors showed neglectable low.
2. Home visits, spot announcement and area factor could be explained by 96.3%(R²=0.963) of the achievements.
3. Personal variables grouped with age, education of mother and birth order of child showed little correlation with vaccination index, while the educational activites showed high correlationship home visits showed Eta²=0.384 and spot announcement on the program showed Eta²=0.123).
Therefore we could assume that both educational activities were effective in vaccination program home visits is more effective than spot announcement.
