시군 지역사회보장협의체의 활동 성과에 미치는 영향 : 위원 특성과 사무국 지원을 중심으로 = Impact on the performance of city-county community security councils : Focusing on member characteristics and secretariat support

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the capacity, role understanding and participation of members of the city-county community security council, and recognition of the value of the council on the performance of the council’s activities. This study analyzed survey data from 685 city and county community security council officials in South Chungcheong Province. The analysis methods used in this study were exploratory factor analysis, Independent Samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression analysis.
As a result of the analysis, in research model 1, the competency, role understanding and participation, and value recognition of city-county council members had a positive effect on the performance of council activities. In research model 2, which included support for the council secretariat, council member competency, value perception, and council secretariat support had a positive effect on council activity performance. In addition, groups with a population of less than 70,000 showed lower average scores in terms of the capacity of council members, recognition of value, and support for the council from the secretariat than groups with a population of 70,000 or more. Regarding the capabilities of council members, there were average differences in age group and period of council activity. Based on the results of this analysis, policy recommendations were proposed, including support for the expertise and capacity building education of city-county council members, strengthening the secretariat’s council support function, and support that reflects regional characteristics. The data used in this study was limited to Chungcheongnam-do, and it was mentioned that in future research, it would be necessary to conduct a nationwide survey to derive objective research results.
