복합위기 시대 로컬평화의 실천양식 -리빙랩 기반 대학교육- = The practice of local peace in the era of complex crises -University Living Lab-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 유엔의 평화구축 활동은 실패했으며, 경제, 안보, 환경이 결합된 복합위기가 고조되고 있다. 이에 대한 비판으로 로컬평화가 부상하였다. 하지만 로컬평화의 문제의식과 지향에 대한 동의에도 불구하고 실천양식에 대한 뚜렷한 대안을 찾아 볼 수 없었다. 본 연구는 첫째 자유주의 평화에 대한 비판으로 등장한 로컬평화의 맥락과 특징을 살펴본 후 둘째, 실천적 대안으로 대학에서의 리빙랩 활동을 제안하였다.
실제 리빙랩 기반 대학교육을 경험한 학생들을 대상으로 사전 사후 설문조사를 실시하여 로컬평화의 실천적 대안으로 효용성을 가지는 여부를 검토하였다. 결과 리빙랩 활동을 통해 학생들은 협업능력과, 문제해결능력, 창의력에서 유의미한 변화를 보였으며, 이는 각각 로컬평화가 추구하는 세 가지 특징, ‘일상적 삶의 경험에 의한 문제해결 방식’, ‘토착 문화에 기반한 문제해결 방식’, ‘글로컬 양식의 문제해결 방식’을 촉진하는 요인으로 확인되었다. 따라서 리빙랩 기반 대학교육은 복합위기 시대에 부상한 로컬평화를 실현하기 위한 하나의 실천양식으로 작동할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주고 있다.

Today, the UN's peace-building activities have failed, and a complex crisis combining economy, security, and environment is intensifying. Local peace has emerged as a criticism of this. However, despite the agreement on the problem awareness and direction of local peace, no clear alternative has been found for its practical form. This study first examines the context and characteristics of local peace, which emerged as a criticism of liberal peace, and second, proposes living lab activities at universities as a practical alternative. We conducted a pre- and post-survey targeting students who actually experienced living lab-based university education to examine whether it is useful as a practical alternative to local peace. As a result, students showed significant changes in their collaboration skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity through living lab activities, which were confirmed as factors promoting the three characteristics pursued by local peace: ‘problem-solving methods based on everyday life experiences’, ‘problem-solving methods based on indigenous culture’, and ‘problem-solving methods in a global style’. Therefore, living lab-based university education shows the potential to function as a practical method for realizing local peace in an era of complex crises.
