관광지 자연자원과 문화자원의 공간 Image 및 시각적선호도 조사에 관한 연구 - 남한산성 도입공원을 중심으로 - = A Study on Spatial Image and Visual Preference of Natural and Cultural Toursim Resources

Scenic value of a tourism site is usually assessed by the five sensing organs of human body. Visual quality in particular is largely determined by visual preferences. Users` visual like or dislike is directly connected to the visual quality of the resources. Thus, the users` response with respect to the scenic values must be reflected to the tourism site design and its development direction. The purpose of this article is to investigate the space imageability and visual preferences of the natural and cultural resources of the tourism site, with special reference to Namhan Sansung Provisional Park. The method used in this study is the quantitative approach including S.D. scale measurement, factor analysis, and paired comparison technique. The result of this study indicates that sight-seeing oriented resources require space image ability to increase the users` preferences, rather than facility oriented resources aiming at objective type tourism. Measuring scale of space imageability on both natural and cultural resources of the site may be characterized by as follow. For natural space, a high priority should be given to the variables containing the slope, rithmic contents, and scenic variety of mountain top and bell; quantity and quality of water, neighborhood scenic value for valley; and the continuity of forest zone, density and dynamic quality for forests. On the other hands, for cultural resources, the preference of temple space is centered on the symbolic variables including color, style, natural and structural originality, etc. Finally, on historic sites, the measuring scale factors include natural beauty, harmony with nature, historic-architectural characteristics, to name a few.
