The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of posthumanization on religion and Christian education in the posthuman era, where humans and machines are merging and living alongside each other. To do so, we first examine the various relationships between humans and technology that are changing with the posthumanization of technology. Today, technology affects not only our biorhythms, but also the physical conditions of our lives, the ways we think and judge, and even our very nature or existence. Furthermore, the boundaries between the natural and the artificial are becoming increasingly blurred due to technological advances. In this situation, the existing ethical norms that view technology as a tool for human activities are no longer valid, and the relationship between humans and technology needs to be redefined. The impact of technological development and posthumanization on religion and education is then examined in relation to critical posthumanism. In the posthuman era, technology has begun to influence the realm of religion and faith, and the Human-Technology-Symbiosis Network, a group of Protestant theologians, Christian educators, and philosophers of technology, was launched not only at the American Academy of Religion but also in Korea to predict social change and the transition to a new civilization due to technology and science. In addition, the modern education, which has been maintained as an absolute authority and hierarchical system, has been shaken. Of course, it is difficult for pedagogy to fully embrace the arguments of human enhancementists who seek to augment human physical, intellectual, and justice capabilities through technology. But it can embrace the critical posthumanism, which focuses on criticizing the limitations of humanism. This is because the critical posthumanism emphasizes openness to a radically changing technological culture, while it is critical of humanism, it also emphasizes the continuity of ways of thinking in the humanist tradition. Finally, in terms of the implications of posthumanization for Christian education, I reflected on the concept of body neutrality that welcomes all bodies, the opposition to human enhancement through technology, and the value of education and the meaning of life as a gift. Rather, the human condition required of us today is not only the posthumanization but also the willingness to accept each other's imperfections and frailties, which is what religion, especially Christianity, speaks of as the Kingdom of God. Cho-Yeop Kim and Won-Young Kim call this body neutrality or cyborg neutrality. Accepting our limited lives and abilities as a gift from God will also challenge blind trust in human enhancement technologies, provoking discussions about fairness, equality, and human autonomy. It will also give us hope for a future not as a futurum, a future that we plan and create, but as an adventus, a future brought about by God's eschatological intervention.
