댄스스포츠 참여자의 자긍심과 갈등대처방식의 관계

In order to investigate the effect of self-esteem of participatns in dancesport as a Sport for All on conflictcopingmethods, the following research problems were set. First, this study identifies the differences betweenself-esteem, and conflict-coping methods, depending on individual characteristics of participants in dancesportas a Sport for All. Second, this study analyzes the relationship between self-esteem of dancesport participantsand conflict-coping methods. Based on these research meth ods and findings, this study obtained conclusionsas below. Firstly, in relation to self-esteem depending on gender, males showed higher positive andnegative self-esteem than females. They also used conflict-coping methods than females even in conflict situations. Secondly, the subjects aged over 30 showed higher positive self-esteem than those aged less than 20,whereas the subjects below the age of 20 showed higher negative self-esteem than those over the age of 30. Also, as conflict-coping methods, ``request for outside help`` and ``avoidance`` were found more in the subjectsaged over 30 than those aged less than 20. Thirdly, in terms osfelf-esteem according to career, the subject swith over three years of work experience showed higher positiv eself-esteem than those with less than twoyears of work experience, whereas the subjects with less thanw to years of work experience showed highe rnegative self-esteem than those with over three years of work xeperience. As conflict-coping methods, ``requestfor outside help`` and ``rational response`` were found more in the subjects with over three years of workexperience than those with less than two years of work experience. However, ``avoidance`` was revealed morein the subjects with less than two years of work experience than those with over three years of work experience. Fourthly, the analysis of correlation between self-esteem and conflict-coping methods displayed thatthere was a negative correlation between positive self-esteem nad negative self-esteem as variables of selfesteem,and among dependance on faith, exhibition of emotion adn behavior and avoidance as variables o fconflict-coping methods. But there was a similar positive correlation among subordinate factors except these. Fifthly, multiple regression analysis was conducted to see how self-esteem of dancesport participants influencedconflict-coping methods. As a result, excepting ``dependance on faith``, ``request for outside help``, ``rationalresponse``, ``exhibition of emotion and behavior`` and ``avoidance`` had significant effects on self-esteem.
