국,한문의 전통과 현실적 교육 상황 = A study on the tradition of Korean language & classical chinese and the present situation of education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean classical chinese was the only means of writing which had been recognized by our state from B.C.300 to the early 20th century. therefore we must accept the double structure of speaking and writing : in speaking use the mother tongue, in writing employ the classical chinese. on the assumption approving this real situation, we can reasonably research and educate our traditional language phenomena. But through 20th century, as it used to be, we can`t establish the proper position of korean classical chinese education. directly after the Kapokyungzhang(甲午更張), it already had broken away from the core of national education. next under the rule of japanese imperialism, it`s educational position in school had been occupied by japanese. again after the restoration of independence, it had been still treated as a thing of liquidation for the sake of Hangul(한글) education. like this unreasonable condition was partially improved during the term of 3th-5th amendment of curriculum. however in the 6th-7th amendment of curriculum, korean classical chinese education was again faced with a serious critical situation In order to bring this matter to a desirable settlement, we must correct so many mistake in the past day. first of all, we have to recognize the true that korean classical chinese had been nearly as good as the national language. second, through making clear the purpose of korean classical chinese education, must not cause more suspicion and argument about the exclusive use principle of Hangul(한글). on these two prior condition, by means of subject combination, we have to establish the well-balanced system of korean language education which really correspond to our traditional language livelihood
