한국어 교재의 통시적 연구와 현황 = The Diachronic study of the Korean Language Textbooks and Current State

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국어 교재의 발전 과정은 최초의 한국어 교재가 개발되고 나서 약 2세기가 지나면서 역사적으로나 한국어 교육학적으로 많은 변화가 있었다. 한국어 교육학이 점차 학문적인 분야로 정착되어 가는 것이 사실이고, 특히 한국어 교재의 연구사에 대해서는 국어학사와 같이 체계적이고 본격적인 정리가 필요하다. 한국어 교재의 변화과정을 역사적으로 살펴보기 위해서 여러 가지 요소를 고려하여 당시의 정치 문화와 사회적 요소는 물론 교재의 내용과 형식에서 강조점이 무엇인지 살펴보고자 한다. 이 연구는 한국어 교재 편찬의 역사적 변천과 실제 교재형식이나 내용의 연관성을 중심으로 특히 시기별로 나누어서 한국어 교재와 관련성에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 선행 연구사에서 한국어 교재를 중심으로 한 시기와 한국어 교육학적인 시기가 어떻게 연계했는가를 보았다. 이에 따라 각기 구분한 시기별 교재 내용이 어떻게 변화하였는지 보고, 한국어 교재를 중심으로 시기 구분과 각 시기에 한국어 교재의 내용적 특성이 어떠한지를 재정리하였다. 또한 한국어 교재의 현황을 살펴보고, 앞으로 외국어로서의 한국어 교육의 발전을 위하여 한국어 교재가 기준 삼아야 할 방향은 향후 과제로 삼으려 한다. ‘교재는 교육의 모든 것이다’라는 말처럼 교재에는 교육내용, 교육목표, 교육 방법 등이 총체적으로 들어있다. 따라서 교재의 중요성은 한국어 교육에 두말할 나위 없이중요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to describe the process of Korean language textbooks according to the periods from the 18th century until the present. This study focuses on the Korean language textbooks which are divided into six perirods diachronically and shows various contents and characteristics in each period. Major theme in the study is how Korean language textbooks changed in their formats during the six periods. A lot of contents and schemata in the testbooks teaching styles, student tasks and characteristics according to the periods are discussed. This study suggests the diverse textbooks for the development of the future Korean language learning with the various Korean language learners. In the future, Korean language researchers need more detail studies and efforts for the various Korean language learners’ textbooks, depending on their nationalities and levels in addition.
