산학협력 활성화를 통한 대학의 성장방안 연구 = Study on the Means of Growth for Universities Through Activation of Industry-academia Collaboration

This study is aimed at presenting the means of fortifying the competitiveness of university by promoting industry-academia collaboration and generating profits with the local society through assessment of the needs of industries in order to enable the key goals of universities including education, research and social contribution to be executed actively. For this purpose, means of achieving coexistence of local society and companies by applying plans for advancement, in addition to the establishment, of industry-academia collaboration system on the foundation of the theoretical background of industry-academia collaboration were selected as the contents of the research. Plans for advancement of the methods of growth of university through industry-academia collaboration in the society in our current era of knowledge-based 4th industrial revolution include the following: first, activation of employment and business start-up; second, establishment of system for cultivation of specialized manpower for industry-academia collaboration; and, third, financial independence of university through improvement of profit generation rate of industry-academia collaboration. In order for universities to overcome the difficult and challenging circumstances nowadays on their own, it is necessary to achieve financial independence by pursuing changes, which are essential rather than an option. As the results of the study, establishment of system customized for industry-academia collaboration and industry-academia friendly eduction, and activities related to industry-academia collaboration between the local society and companies leads to strategy for the success of growth of universities, thereby playing important role in proposing the means of overcoming the current difficult realities confronted by the universities.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학의 주요 목표인 교육, 연구, 사회 기여가 활발하게 진행될 수 있도록 산업체의 니즈를 파악하여 지역사회와의 산학협력을 촉진하고 수익을 창출하여 대학경쟁력 강화를 위한 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 산학협력의 이론적인 배경을 바탕으로 산학협력 체재구축과 발전계획을 적용하여 지역사회 및 기업이 상생 가능한 방안을 연구내용으로 선정하였다. 지식기반 4차 산업혁명 시대의 사회에서 산학협력을 통한 대학의 성장방법에 관한 발전계획은 첫째, 취.창업 활성화, 둘째, 산학 전문인력 양성 및 구축, 셋째, 산학협력 수익률향상을 통한 대학의 재정자립이다. 오늘날 어려운 상황을 대학이 스스로 극복하여 나아가려면 선택이 아닌 필수적으로 변화를 추구하여 경제적인 독립을 하여야 한다. 연구결과 산학맞춤형 체계구축과 산학친화형 교육, 지역사회 및 기업과의 산학관련 활동은 대학발전의 성공전략으로 이어져 대학의 어려운 현실을 타파하는 방안을 제시하는데 중요한 역할을 하게 되었다.
