적벽가 리듬형의 변화연구
-박봉술제 자진모리를 중심으로-

본 연구는 동편제의 호방하고 거친 맛, 씩씩하고 웅장함이 특징인 박봉술제 적벽가 중에서 <적벽화전> 대목에 주목하였다. 적벽가는 꿋꿋한 우조, 빠른 장단과 호령조로 장수의 늠름함과 기상, 부모, 자식, 사랑하는 아내를 고향에 두고 전쟁에 나온 군사들의 애환과 슬픔, 그리고 전쟁의 긴박함 등을 잘 표현한 음악이다. 적벽가의 여러 대목 중 에서도 적벽화전 대목은 장단과 사설, 붙임새가 특이하여 이를 분석하여 그 음악적 특징을 살펴보겠다.
연구 방법으로 자진모리의 장단별 리듬형태 분석을 통해 3분박 중심의 리듬유형 (A형). 2분박 중심의 리듬유형 (B형). 3분박과 2분박 중심의 혼합 장단유형 (C형). 2분박과 3분박 중심의 혼합 장단유형 (D형)으로 분석하였고 붙임새 유형으로는 대마디 대장단, 잉어걸이, 완자걸이, 교대죽을 리듬분석의 분포와 함께 분석하였다. 그 결과를 요약하며 다음과 같다.

1. 3분박 중심의 장단유형 (A형-총 78종)
2. 2분박 중심의 장단유형 (B형-총 37종)
3. 3분박과 2분박의 혼합 장단유형 (C형-총 18종)
4. 2분박과 3분박의 혼합 장단유형 (D형-27종)

첫째, 3분박 중심의 리듬형태는 총 138장단으로 78종류의 다양한 리듬변화가 나타났는데 가장 많이 출현한 리듬은 A-1의 리듬형태로 총 138장단 중 11회 출현하였으며 표1의 A-1～A-29의 리듬형을 제외한 49종류의 리듬형이 단 1회 출현으로 다양한 자진모리장단의 리듬형태를 구성하고 있다.
둘째, 2분박 중심의 리듬형태는 총 37장단 중 29종류가 출현하였고 그 중 단 1회 출현하는 리듬형태가 22종류로 아주 다양하게 나타났다.
셋째, 3분박과 2분박의 혼합 리듬형태는 총 21장단 중 17종류가 출현하였다.
넷째, 2분박과 3분박의 혼합리듬형태는 27종류가 출현하였고 가장 많은 반복이 단 3회이고 단 1회 출현한 리듬형태가 18종류로 다른 리듬형태와 마찬가지로 잦은 반복보다는 다양한 리듬변화를 보이며 적벽화전 대목의 이면을 잘 표현하여 전쟁의 생생함을 느낄 수 있도록 하고 있다.
붙임새는 대마디 대장단, 잉어걸이, 완자걸이, 교대죽이 출현하고 있으며 대마디 대장단은 모두 3분박 중심의 리듬형태에서 전체 231장단 중 45회, 잉어걸이는 31회 걸쳐 출현하였고 첫 박에 걸린 경우, 10박에 걸린 경우, 7박에 걸린 경우, 4박에 걸린 경우, 첫 박과 10박에 동시에 나타난 경우 등으로 분석이 되었으며 3분박, 2분박, 혼합박에서 다양하게 출현하였다.
완자걸이는 총 52회 출현하였고 교대죽은 총 21회 출현하였으며 리듬분석과 붙임새 분석을 통하여 적벽화전에서 표현되고 있는 전쟁의 긴박함, 군사들이 처한 상황의 묘사, 슬픔, 조조의 패배 등의 이면을 아주 잘 표현하고 있음을 알 수 있었고 바로 박봉술제 적벽가의 특징이라 하겠다.

A Study on the Change of Rhythm Types
in Pansori Jeok Byeok Ga (Song of Redwall)
-Focusing on Park Bong Sul-je Jajinmori

ABSTRACT

This study focused on Jeok Byeok Hwa Jeon part (passage) of Park Bong Sul-je Jeok Byeok Ga, which was characterized by open-hearted, harsh, brave, and magnificent Dong Pyeon-je (Eastern School). By using strong Ujo, fast Jangdan, and shouting tone, Jeok Byeok Ga expressed well the gallant spirit of generals , the joys and sorrows of solders who left their parents, children, and loved wives in their hometowns, and the tension of the war. So, the purpose of this study is to analyze Jeok Byeok Hwa Jeon part which was unique in Jandan(rhythm), narrative, and Buchimsae, and so examine its musical characteristics.
As the research method, this study classified and analyzed the rhythm types by Jangdan in Jajinmori into 3-part-divided time(Bak)-centered Jangdan type(Type A), 2-part-divided time(Bak)-centered Jangdan type(Type B), 3-part-divided time(Bak) and 2-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed Jangdan type(Type C), and 2-part-divided time(Bak) and 3-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed Jangdan type(Type D). As Buchimsae types, this study analyzed daemadidae Jangdan, Ingeogeoli, Wanjageoli, and Gyodaejuk along with the distribution of rhythm analysis.
The results of this study can be summarized as follows.

1. 3-part-divided time(Bak)-centered Jangdan type (Type A- 78 types in total)
2. 2-part-divided time(Bak)-centered Jangdan type (Type B- 37 types in total)
3. 3-part-divided time(Bak) and 2-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed Jangdan type (Type C- 18 types in total)
4. 2-part-divided time(Bak) and 3-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed Jangdan type (Type D- 27 types in total)

First, 3-part-divided time(Bak)-centered rhythm type was a total of 138 jandgdans, and showed the diverse rhythm changes of 78 types. The most frequent rhythm was the rhythm type of A-1, which appeared 11 times among 138 Jandans. Except the rhythm types of A-1～A-29, 49 rhythm types appeared only once, which constituted the diverse rhythm types of Jajinmori Jangdan.
Second, 2-part-divided time(Bak)-centered rhythm type was 29 types among a total of 37 jangdans. 22 rhythm types appeared only once, so the rhythm types appeared diversely.
Third, 3-part-divided time(Bak) and 2-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed Jangdan type was 17 types among a total of 21 Jangdans.
Fourth, 2-part-divided time(Bak) and 3-part-divided time(Bak)-mixed rhythm type was 27 types. The most frequent repetition was only three times. 18 rhythm types appeared only once. So, like other rhythm types, this type shows diverse rhythm changes rather than frequent repetitions, so that the reverse side of Jeok Byeok Hwa Jeon part can be expressed well and then the vividness of the war can be felt.
In Buchimsae types, Daemadidae Jangdan, Ingeogeoli, Wanjageoli, and Gyodaejuk appeared. Daemadidae Jangdan appeared 45 times among 231 Jangdans in 3-part-divided time(Bak)-centered Jangdan type. Ingeogeoli appeared 31 times. Ingeogeoli was classified into being hung on 1st Bak, being hung on 10th Bak, being hung on 7th time(Bak), being hung on 4th time(Bak), and being hung on both 1st time(Bak) and 10th time(Bak). Ingeogeoli was appeared diversely in 3-part-divided time(Bak), 2-part-divided time(Bak), and mixed time(Bak). Wanjageoli appeared 52 times in total. Gyodaejuk appeared 21 times in total.
Through analyzing rhythm and Buchimsae, this study found that Jeok Byeok Hwa Jeon expressed very well the tension of the war, solders' situations and sorrows, and Jojo's defeat at the reverse side, which was the very characteristics of Park Bong Sul-je Jeok Byeok Ga.
