Development of Virtual Art Museum Exhibition Program for Flow -A focus on Savina museum- Kang, Da Vin Major in Museum Education Graduate School of Education Seoul National University of Education Supervised by Professor : Ryu. Jaman After COVID-19, many art galleries and museums developed exhibition experience programs using online spaces as a countermeasure against non-face-to-face situations. In that exhibitions can be enjoyed without time and space constraints, online exhibition programs were used as a way to replace the existing exhibition methods. The online exhibition space drew attention for being able to provide the same experience as what you actually saw without visiting the actual space, being able to view anytime, anywhere, and being able to communicate with other visitors in real time. However, the online exhibition space was criticized for not sufficiently inducing visitors to immerse themselves in that there was a limit to feeling the aura and atmosphere of the field given by exhibits in the actual exhibition space. In addition, depending on age and individual ability, they may not fully enjoy online exhibition spaces due to differences in their ability to manipulate smart devices.Since the online space is a virtual space, the fact that you can easily feel tired if you watch it for a long time is also a factor that hinders the flow of visitors and has limitations. Therefore, this study developed an online virtual art museum exhibition viewing program by applying Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory to overcome such limitations of flow. In the flow theory organized by Csikszentmihalyi, a program that applies this was conceived by paying attention to the three prerequisites necessary for flow: clear goal, immediate feedback, and challenge-skill balance. The developed program was applied to 4th graders of W Elementary School to check whether they experienced flow through flow scale tests, personal interview records, class recordings, and exhibition viewing appreciation. Through this study, it was confirmed whether learners could fully flow themselves in the online exhibition space to watch the exhibition, and what elements of the online exhibition viewing program helped flow. The research results according to this are as follows. First, in order to construct an exhibition viewing program for flow, three prerequisites for flow must be included: "clear goal," "immediate feedback," and "challenge-skill balance." The students said that the pre-learning of exhibition viewing based on three elements was very positive for the exhibition viewing. Giving clear goals every hour and setting individual exhibition viewing goals helped them to recognize what they had to do in their activities, which naturally helped them to flow themselves in their activities. In addition, students were able to check whether they were following the activities well with immediate feedback from teachers and questions within the activity sheet that they could look back on themselves while participating in the program. In addition, it was found that the contents of forming prior knowledge necessary for viewing the exhibition and learning how to manipulate the online virtual art museum were very helpful in flowing themselves in viewing the exhibition. Second, as a result, most of the students who participated in this research program experienced 'concentration on the task at hand'. 'Concentration on the task at hand' means that when an actor focuses on a task, he or she does not think about anything other than the task. The students said that when they watched the exhibition, they did not think about anything other than the contents of the work they were watching or their thoughts on the work, and they were only able to focus on the exhibition. In fact, none of the students did anything other than watching the exhibition during class. Third, students who participated in this research program also experienced 'transformation of time'. Most people who experience flow experience a 'transformation of time', often referring to feeling so focused that they lost track of time. Students were surprised to hear the notification of the end of class, such as "Are you done already?" and "Why is the time so short?" the most common words in class. It proves that most students were flowed in this exhibition program. Fourth, students who participated in the online virtual art museum exhibition and viewing program had a 'autotelic experience'. Students started with a sense of duty that everyone should attend classes, but by the end of the program, they would rather try more enjoyed it for the purpose of viewing the exhibition itself, such as wanting to go to an art museum, and they felt like I wanted to experience it more. Although it was an online space, it is expected to be a good motivating factor for future museum visits through the positive experience of exhibition viewing. Therefore, this study is significant in that it has been revealed that exhibition viewing programs using online exhibition spaces can sufficiently attract viewers' flow. It can be a very good substitute for those who cannot visit and see an actual art museum due to conditions. In particular, for students in rural areas, such an online virtual art museum exhibition and viewing program can give them a new flow experience and act as a motivating factor to visit the actual art museum. In addition, it will be of great significance because more people can enjoy various exhibitions if they can fully flow themselves in the works of famous overseas art museums through online exhibition spaces. keywords : online exhibition, virtual museum, museum program, flow
